She laughs, mock bowing. 'Oh, of course, sir. i wouldnt want to piss you off more.'

SHe blew him a kiss, before running down the stairs, her voice floating back up to him, mixed with laugher. 'bye, Lukas.'

Lukas grunted incoherently, wondering what the hell he was going to do now.

'Happy christmas to me... happy holidays.. happy new year..' she pouted slightly, placing her hands on the cool railings to try and bring her mind back to reality.

For some reason, she'd been distracted. Maybe it was because Bryn wasn't here to keep her company anymore, or remind her to live while she still could. It saddened her, but she didn' outwardly show it.

"M-Meredia," he stutters, sounding surprised. Rich tugs on his sleeves, averting his gaze and smiling. "I didn't know you were up here..."

'I'm sure you wouldn't, unless you were psychic.' Meredia chuckled slightly, turning to face him with a distracted expression. 'Happy new year, of course.' she bowed to him courteously, offering a soft smile.

"Happy New Year to you, too." He beams at her.

I see she hasn't lost her hold over you, has she, dear?

Shut up, Jim! Rich doesn't mean it in an aggressive way; it's more like a younger brother being teased by his older sibling.

'Have you done anything exciting for the holidays?' she pulled her hands away, taking a few steps towards him. Meredia kept her distance, like she always did with most people, sometimes she didn't know how to act around her peers.

"No... I've just been around." He shrugs.

ic 'You should've sought me out, my family have been doing nothing too, you could've had company.' her tone was still polite.

He shrugs and then, looking sheepish, he says, "There's still New Year's, isn't there?"

'Only 50 minutes to go, spend it with me?' she offered, advancing on him by another step.

Go ahead, dear. I don't have any plans.

"Um, yes, thank you." Rich beams at her, his eyes wide with happiness instead of anxiety.

'Do i get a hug?' she raised her eyebrows, outstretching her arms invitingly.

"Um... if you want one..." Awkwardly, he steps over to her and wraps his arms around her, his cheeks turning red.

Oh, you are sweet, Richie.

She laughed softly again, finding a light amusement in his actions, squeezing him back eagerly. 'Of course i do silly head, or i wouldn't ask!'
