"I'm a sixth year. You?"

"Seventh" - she leaves it at that, not bothering to explain that she was a year older. With another shiver she stood up and nodded at him - "Well it was nice talking, but I'm cold. I might see you around."

ooc: Byeeeeeee!

He was walking the grounds. He was still filled with the empty coldness, revenge.

Every once in a while, Pixie takes a walk to try and loosen up her leg somewhat. It's slow going and she doesn't go very far - she's still getting used to the walking stick, and it's proving more of a challenge than she thought.

OOC Sorry, my internet died on me....

IC He walked up to Pixie once he realized it was her walking, well attempting to, around. "Pixie!"

She looks over her shoulder, raising an eyebrow. No idea who that is. "Yeah?"

He walked up to her and stared her down. "I've got a bone to pick with you." His eyes studied her carefully, cold and calculated.

She leans on her walking stick with a sigh. "Most people do, for some reason. Can't think why. What have I done now?"

"You left Bryn for dead," he said, his voice low and cold. He reached into his robes for his wand. "You killed my boyfriend."

"Wait, wait, wait." She holds up her free hand in surrender, brown eyes widening in surprise. "What. No. I haven't killed anyone. Crouch was the one that killed Bryn, not me."

"But you left him for dead! You practically killed him!" He pulled his wand out and pointed it at her.

"Hold on, kid." She points at her right leg, the weak one, the one that will never fully support her weight again. "See this? Werewolf got thrown into me. Snapped the bone. Lost my wand when I fell, tryin' to push her off. I wasn't physically able to do anything. If I could have, I would have. But it wasn't possible."

He shook his head. "That's not what Crouch told me. He said you walked away, leaving Bryn to die. HE BEGGED YOU TO HELP HIM AND YOU LEFT!" he roared.

Pixie stays cool and calm throughout this, still casually leaning on her walking stick. She raises an eyebrow. "Now, who you gonna believe? Me, sister of Phoenix Flame, the Goody-Four-Paws of our side, or Crouch, the bastard everyone knows better than to trust?"

"IT DOESN'T MATTER! You don't deserve to live." He tried to slow the trembling of his hand. "That's why I'm going to kill you."

Come on Teddy, stop stalling. Kill her. You know the spell. Two words and you've avenged Bryn. Don't listen to her.

"I'm completely innocent, though, and you know it. It does matter, Teddy." Must be Teddy, he was Bryn's guy, right? Hope I got it right. "You know you can't trust Crouch. Rememeber that."

Pixie is unusually serious for once; all of the mischief has drained from her eyes. Now her gaze is oddly strong and steady. She means her words.

"Crouch is the one that killed him. I can show you the memory, if you'll let me."

"Crouch already showed me a memory. You walked away. Bryn was begging for you to help him, but you just kept walking." Tears began to form in his eyes. "How could you keep walking?"

"How could you trust Crouch?" Suddenly angry, she leans forward, eyes narrowed. "I might not be the best damn girl on the light side, but I'm one of the good guys, Teddy. Crouch isn't!"

Pixie stands straighter, using the staff to hold herself upright properly. "Instead of just going on his memory - you know you can't trust him - why not ask for other people to show you theirs? It's the sensible move!"

His head was buzzing with activity. He didn't know what to believe anymore. "But...I have to kill you?"

"No, you don't. And I'm afraid that if you do, you won't come out of it alive - physically or mentally. I've seen what killing does to a decent person. Don't lose yourself to that." She holds his gaze, nodding once.

"Whatever he's done, he's probably made you hate my guts right now, but trust me on this: at least wait until you get a proper judgement. Ask others to show you their memories of the battle. At least trust that."

He lowered his wand and dropped it by his feet. "He keeps using me like his pawn. Lying to me, and I believe him. I don't know which is worse."

"Just don't trust him, full stop." Pixie's voice is gentle now, actually kind. "I did. He screwed me over one time too many, so I left the DE. And look at me now." She spreads her arms as well as she can, while still holding onto the staff.

"So, you didn't leave him for dead?"

"Please. I may be a total badass, but I wouldn't abandon one of my sister's friends."
