Your "Master" should have ordered you by now to kill me and yet you haven't. It would be easy for you. You're physically stronger than me. You could poison me. And yet I am still here.

It's your mind Crouch, because you don't want me dead. That's why he hasn't told you to kill me. He knows we are together right now. He saw you helping me amd yet he hasn't yelled at you for helping a traitor.

And now your mind will try and find excuses and perhaps it will come up with one, but at the end of the day. I'm right and it hurts me to see you like this.

He looked back at his master sitting at the table and at Liria, his eyes shifting back and forth. He didn't know what his mind was telling him was a fantasy he was addicted to like a drug addict with his prefered prescription or if he was enlightened among a sea of the deluded....

Before, all the wizarding world claimed the Dark Lord was damnation, but Crouch knew him to be the liberator from the world's falsehoods.

His mind was racing at a million miles a minute. Reality, fantasy, truth, lies, was there even such a thing as lies or truth?

Was reality just a lie that fantasy made bearable? Was fantasy a truth that reality soured?

Or... was there just nothing?

No purpose or truths or goodness that could be taken out of life?

Oddly, this fatalistic clarity brought him a small relief...

He could slip into madness as deep as he liked because in the end, what mattered? What did it matter if he destroyed everything? What difference would it make if he fixed all the world's problems tomorrow?

In short, Nothing.

Nothing really mattered. Nothing was sacred. Not life, not death...

Maybe not even his own Lord but he found himself hesitant to embrace that.

You never listen to me or if you do it's only halfway. So yes you accept he is gone but there is a "But" that you are not telling me which makes me a tad nervous.
