"Um, you're not going to teach me anything first?" He looked around nervously. There was nothing around for him to hide behind, but that was the reason he asked Crest to teach him. He didn't want to hide anymore, but he wasn't sure he was ready to take on Crest.

I had to gauge exactly where he stood and this was the best way.

He backed up and blocked his head from Crest's attacks. Go on the offensive?! I don't know how to fight. He just kept back in up and trying his hardest to block Crest.
