The Owlery

Staying there, continuing to empty my flash but thanks to high tolerance doesn't affect me in the least I manage to not fall of the ledge.

I keep thinking back to them days where I would look into the windows where all those snoots would have large turkeys on the table but wouldn't let me so much as go into their garbage cans.

Cynder held a small letter in her hands, as she wandered into the Owlry.

She didn't often have business here- she rarely sent mail.
But a little Christmas card to some of her muggle friends would be nice- well, that is, sent to the farm first to be shipped by muggle mail.

She wasn't really ready to see Joachim, but she was glad she did.

"Oh, hello, Joa~"

"Piss off Dai..."

I turn around, disturbed I had insulted my 'little sister', "Oh it's you Cyn, sorry..."

Cynder blinked at the sudden upset in Joa's voice.
She shook her head dismissively.

"Don't worry.... did... something happen, Joa...?"

"Ah nothin'... just ya bitch of a sis mouthin' off, not worth ya time."

"Daisy? ... Yeah, she's a jerk..."

Cynder looked at the floor almost sadly, rubbing her arm slightly before moving to stand next to Joa, leaning against the railing of the Owlry.

"... It is worth my time, though. She's my sister, I need to take responsibility for her. You seem to have a lot on your mind, too- what's up?"

"Well if ya gotta pry, this time of the years has always kinda sucked for me." Even though I hate talking about sensitive crap, it came easier with Cynda' than most anyone.

Pry...?
Oh, she didn't want Joa to feel like she had to know.

"... has it? I'm... sorry.... I guess I can honestly say I sorta know the feeling.."

"Really? Did you have to get chased away with brooms like a rat just so you couldn't eat what was in some snoots goddamn trash cans?!" I mutter angrily.

Cynder blinked slightly at Joa's reaction.
Her heart seemed to crack a bit, and she looked at him compassionately.

"I'll admit I never was, but I knew many a Christmas sitting in my room without supper, watching my parents open their own gifts."

"I'd offer you my flask if it wasn't empty..."

Cynder shrugged slightly, smiling softly.
"I don't drink... too often. Low tolerance, yknow~?"

"Only gets stronger with time.." I shrug.

Up here, alone. I don't know why but high altitude always helped my thinking for some reason.

Liria, did she really change? More to the point, would I want her to?

Withought so much even a word jumps down from his hiding place and slashes Artemis's back open with his wand-

The moment pain makes itself known I have my wand out and instinctively send a spell his direction.

Blocks it effortlessly and makes another slashing moment this time on Artemis's legs cutting them-

Expecting him to go for my legs I allow the spell to hit and grab his arm and punch him in the face, in no mood for a fight.

Allows the punch grabbing his arm and twisting it behind his back grabbing his wand and chucking it out the room then taking his other arm and doing the same before tying him up and kicking him hard in the ribs-

The pressures of the past few days just start riling me up even more, my patience clearly at its end, "what the hell do you want?!"
