- As her and Cosmo enter the owlery she scans the perches for the barn owl - "Yeah, I just couldn't think of a name and thought Bean stood out so, Bean it is!" - Her eyes settle on an owl perched on the windowsill and her face lights up - "Speak of the devil!"

Bean: - the owl looks at the strange boy stroking his feathers and makes a light peck at his hand, fluttering to Goblet's shoulder. He coos and tugs on a strand of hair as if to ask who Cosmo was -

Gobs: - She laughs, petting the owl - "Be nice Bean, this is Cosmo"

- She laughs again as Bean rustles his feathers at Cosmo - "I'm sure he'll warm to you, don't worry." - As she speaks she rummages round in her back to find a piece of parchment and a quill. The feather of the quill was bent and she groaned exasperatedly, now she would need a new one! - "Do you have any ink?"
