A distraction? perhaps.. Lukas felt fire growing in his palms, holding them behind his back.

'B-But being guilty by association isn't fair...' she whispered softly, shaking her head.

The boy grew bored, sending the fire not towards her shield, but at her feet, making her instinctively flinch and jump back, effectively creating an opportunity to break the shield.

-He walked up to the Owlery, looking around for an Owl to attach a letter to his parents to.-

- She was standing by one of the more hidden windows, gazing out across the grounds of Hogwarts. Her face broke into a grin as her barn owl, Bean, fluttered onto the windowsill, hooting softly. The owl didn't have a message, it was just looking for affection which Goblet happily gave it, running a finger down the feathery back. -

-He looked over at Goblet with an owl and smiled, walking over- Can I use this one? -Just at that moment an owl swooped in and landed on his shoulder, there was a letter attached to it.-

Cosmo,

We are sending someone from the Ministry to pick you up from Hogwarts.
Be ready.

Your parents.

-He scrunched up the letter and threw it on the floor- DAMMIT!

- She started and Bean swooped off the window. Whirling round she looks concerned as Cosmo storms out of the Owlery. Bending down to pick up the note, she carefully flattens it out. As her eyes skimmed over the words a few times her face fell. She looked up, but he was long gone. Hopefully he would be back soon.. Hopefully. -

River was stood, stroking one of the school owls, thinking, when Lethe ran up the stairs and saw her.
Lethe smiled. 'We could almost be twins, you know. the eyes ruin it though.'
'And the fact that you dont care about anything?' River snapped, then sighed. 'Sorry, im just...tired.'
Lethe jumped up and sat on one of the tables, her legs swinging. 'Ive been thinking about that. and i realsied, its your fault i dont care. Because thats how you wanted to be.' The girl shrugged. 'I would swap if i could.'
'No you wouldnt.' River muttered. 'Anyway, what are you doing up here?'
Lehte grinned. 'I heard there was trouble in paradise with you and your lovely brother. thought i could help.'
River stared at her, frowning. 'Sorry. but i dont need help.' She walked off, wondering if the other girl had a hidden motive for helping.

Nobody was here, so she found it acceptable to spray cologne on her neck, shove her baseball cap on her head sideways and adjust her baggy clothing.

With her blue contacts in, she was back to being Ace Morgentine for now.

Slowly, she scrawled out a letter in block writing, knowing her handwriting wouldn't give much away.

Crouch,

She attached a small white pawn to the letter, smirking to herself as she shrugged on more layers of baggy clothing, clearing her throat and sending the letter away.

Ace felt slightly smug. After all, how could Crouch fight someone who never directly attacks? Still, she didn't let arrogance get to her.

He reluctantly scribbled this letter to William, it was curt and simple.
William,
Sydnay's been arrested again, she's in Azkaban.
I'm going to break her out, I'd prefer to have your help.

When William read the letter, his eyes widen in shock and anger, and he immediately wrote an answer for Bryn.

I am willing to do ANYTHING to save your sister from that place.
You have my all help, and we WILL get her out.

He read the response with a soft smile. Even though they were enemies by default, William would do anything for her, and so would Bryn in a way.

Thank you, I will owl the intended plan to you if that is easier than talking face to face.

Rolling up William's response, he shoved it into his robe pockets, he might have to call William on his promise soon.

Bryn just hoped he was a man of his word.

Dear Ace,

I too never lose. Rest assured, I am quite safe. You however I know more about you than you know.

You gave me more information than you thought.

Your first mistake, you mentioned Bryn close to immediately after greeting me. This creates an image of a sort of intimacy with the fool, close friend likely but more likely a relative.

Your second mistake, I have never met you and yet you used your name. If you truly wished to remain in the shadows, you would've remained anonymous. That to me says you have some sort of plan or you're waiting fro me to find you. Both are mistakes.

You're a fool to challenge one as brilliant as me. But I don't hold it against you, no one is my equal.

Nonetheless, maybe you'll be fun, but I get bored very easily.

Ace wrote a curt response, still chuckling.

I only thought it polite to let you know you had an enemy who has a name. I do have a plan, of course I do. I hope it'll challenge you.

'The fact you replied says enough to me...it will be quite interesting when we do finally meet.' Ace picked at her fingernails, her closeness to Bryn would be irrelevant.
