The pain of her loss pierced her again, like little ice shards cutting into her skin. 'I'm meant to be grieving, yet here I am, kissing someone who isn't even my boyfriend...'

Ace abruptly broke away from him, sitting in the corner of the tower and hugging her knees. She began rocking backwards and forwards in a strange motion, distressed.

I hand over the vial but not before wiping the top of it to remove any presence of my lips on it. The record wil never show that I.N. Query was unclean.

She took only a sip from the vial, feeling her shoulders drop, exhaling. The liquid tasted peculiar, like ground silver. 'Thank you..' she handed it back, making sure to clean it herself, wiping a small bead of sweat from her brow.
