-I smirk.- "That would be very unwise..." -Behind my back I was readying my tracking device.-

She pointed her wand at him now "I'll never give up just so you know.. it's not in my nature. So we might as well get this over with."

"Well if THAT'S the way it has to be, let us take this fight somewhere away from my family. Make this an honorable duel. If you triumph, you can leave. But when you lose, I take you and your associate to a cell."

She didn't actually want to hurt an innocent bystander so she nodded "i can agree with everything except that last bit.. because I don't lose."

-I chuckle heartedly.- "Well then we're going to have a problem, because neither do I..." -I start leading her to the training grounds.-

She followed him and glanced at Joey. She was torn between just grabbing Joey and Saph and bolting but at the same time the chance for duel was pulling her legs to follow Artisan. Her eye's met her brother's for a moment then looked to Sapphire and back giving him a look as though to say if anything happens take your girl and run.

Joachim: -Like ya REALLY needed to tell me that sis... I nod back anyway-

Artisan: -I take up the duel bow.- "May the best wizard win, which I of course intend to!"

She didn't bow, instead she watched him carefully her eyes narrowed wand gripped tight "i'll allow you to think that for now."

"What, you're not so honorable as to bow to your opponent?"

"I see no point in formalities.. and besides I'd rather not expose my neck to someone I'm about to duel. Doesn't seem to logical."

-I sigh in discontent.- "Such arrogance..."

IC She smirked "I believe the arrogance lies with you.. to think I wouldn't attack when you'd least expect it." as her words ended a bolt of black lightning shot from her wand heading directly for his chest."

-I shoot a spell just inches away from the side of my feet and I maneuver my wand behind my back into my other hand continuing to face in down as the spell cuts the very earth itself and it send me below ground and out of view.-

She swore a little as he slipped out of sight "that's pretty clever.."

"Of course it is... I created this technique..." -My voice seems to be omnidirectional. It was reverberating off the cavern walls of the city.-

-Under ground, I am setting up some exploding steampunk-like insects onto the area and then I point my wand upward in Jinx's direction and stalagmites fire up rapidly and randomly from the ground beneath her feet.-

she threw herself in the air as she saw the first shoot from the ground, she jumped landing on the tip of one and avoided more swiftly her movements precise and timed. her wand pointing down where Artisan had fallen the earth began to shake she was trying to cave in the ground and trap him there.

-This is no ordinary thief. she's easily a first rate witch. But I am a Strayer and as such I cannot lose.-

-My charade having out lived it's usefulness, I jump up with a levitation charm to aide my ascension and then I give an intricate series of whistles, exploding the bugs underneath the platform, sending it falling down.-

Her hand moved quickly one of her daggers flying at him as she used a gust of wind to land her safely from the collapsing platform "you know I must admit I'm enjoying this.. I haven't faced anyone quite as fun as you in a while."

"Well you couldn't have picked a better opponent if you wanted a skilled fight. I must confess I haven't had to use this much in a while." -I land on the ground after a series of flips having dropped my levitation charm.-

"Ladies first..."

She smirked flames shooting from her wand once more an odd teal color that could burn through skin like acid."So far you're living up to what I've heard about the Strayer's, but why don't you stop holding back? I want to see what you've really got."

-I smirk playfully and levitate some of the debris to shield me.-

"That's the thing with us Strayers... we're taught to be very respectful to women. Our honor is very important to us. But if you wish me to fight you full on, I shall not hold back." -I trnasfigure the debris into sand and send it sailing at her.-

-However I wasn't finished.- "Incendio!" -the flames heat the sand to the point where they become glass shards, flying at Jinx.-

Her silver eye glowed this time not a single muscle moved as the glass grew closer by the second . Her body flickered an instant before the glass should have ripped her shreds, instead it passed right through her into the ground kicking up dust around her from the force of the impact. As the dust settled she seemed to have vanished.

ooc basically she moved so fast that an image of her stayed for a moment.

IC She was behind him dagger to the base of his spine, she spoke softly in his ear "they're quite remarkable"

-Remembering my emotional training, I remain very calm, borderline fearless.-

"I've only seen eye abilities like the Evil Eye before, but never this. What are they?"
