'if hes more reckless, then heres more chance that he wouldnt care what i do. He would be more likely to kil me.'

"Or make him realize the errors of his ways. He's not as mindless as he shows."

I sigh. 'I will try. But thats all i can do.'

"I hope for your success," he smiled at her kindly, "for both your sakes."

"Now, seems a letter to the minister is due."

I  nod, standing up 'Ill leave you to it, ir. Besides...' I smie. 'I have to tell my husband what im doing.'

"Good day mrs Dolohov.. " he sat at his desk to pull out some parchment.

I step up to Dumbledores door and knock lightly. 'Anyone in?'

Although expecting Harry Potter soon, he nonetheless was happy to hear the voice of River, "Please come on in Miss Dolohov..." His face was cheery, "Seems you've gone through a number of names since I've known you. It must be nice to finally be settled to one..."

"I apologize, I tend to ramble in my old age. How may I help you?"

'Im trying to break a record with names' I say straight faced, before sighing. 'I dont know, sir. i just....i wanted to talk to someone that wouldnt judge me? or at least, wouldnt show their judgement of me.'

"Listening is a powerful thing, a skill I believe the world needs more practice with. Speak your mind please..."

'I really really hurt death. When i...forgot him. He thought that deep down, i hated him and what he was. But I dont. I cant imagine him any other way...or crouch for that matter. And i know people expect me to change them both, but....i dont want to. And' I run my hand through my hair, trying to gather my thoughts. 'I feel like i should hate myself for not wanting them to change.'

He gently smiled to her and walked over to her and put his normal albeit decrepit hand on her shoulder, "I don't think hating yourself will do anyone any good. You love them unconditionally, good or evil, and no one can hate that."

"What is important though is being there for them. For when things fall apart..."

"They'll need you more than you realize Miss Dolohov..." Dumbledore looked into her eyes as though telepathically trying to communicate the calculated fall of the dark lord, and what she'll have to do for them when that inevitability transpired.

'Their not going to need me. not really.' I shake my head.

"I don't believe you truly know your own value. Look at what has transpired so far because of you."

"Mr Crouch would've happily killed you quite terribly for your leaving Voldemort. But you showed him love instead. And because of that, you tempered his hate which you and I both know is substantial."

"You may not believe, but Mr. Strayer needed you as well. When he was forced to shoulder the responsibilities of his family, your friendship helped him through it."

"Mr Dolohov as well needed you. His love for you being second to none. Unlike your brother, he never once contemplated your injury. You showed him his own capacities for kindness, even if it terrifies him for sake of his standings with his master."

"You have a massive impact on everyone you meet. I confess even I have been moved and have had some faith restored over your example..."

'You make me sound like a saint. I Have fought with my brother more times than i can count, i ruined my friendship with Artemis completely. I may help...but i break everyone at the same time. The more a heart heals, the more scars can reopen and break more...'

"I know better than you think..." He took a thoughtful moment to reflect on Grindelwald and the young Tom Riddle and how his failings had both directly and indirectly caused them. 

"But you know the thing with all broken things?" He uses his magic to knock a vase off the top of one of his book shelves, shattering it into a thousand pieces.

"With faith, caring and effort..." He waved his wand again and the vase restored itself back to normal. "they can be fixed."

"I guarantee that Mr Strayers friendship could be restored to you. He's trying to live up to all the expectations that his brothers and family have for him, so the trust and security of knowing others can help him will no doubt gain you back into his good graces..."

"As for your brother, if he held those fights against you, would you be standing here now, talking to me?"

I grin. 'Your too smart for your own good, sir. But...I dont know what to say to Artemis. I cant even write him a letter because i cannot form the words. And crouch...' I shake my head. 'Sorry. Im rambling.'

"When you reach my age, having a vast wealth of knowledge is about the only thing you have left..." He gestured to his cursed hand with a sad smirk.

"I can promise you it won't be easy. But I suggest you take some time away, think about your feelings and try to find the words to say..."

"The mere fact you're putting so much thought into his friendship will no doubt be to your favor."

'I hope so.' i mutter.

"Oh and Miss Dolohov?"

'Yes, sir?'

"Even if your original parents weren't, I know that I'm proud of the woman you've grown to become. You've had trials and tribulations that have been unfathomable to many your ages, and yet here you stand..." 

"I've known you since the day you were raised a Seth, I've tried my best to look out for you as best I could given what was happening. And I apologize if you ever felt I've failed you..."

'you have never failed me, sir. circumstance has, maybe, but not you.' My eyes naorw slighty. 'Where is this coming from? you sound...I dont know. But somethings wrong.'
