"Oh, Merlin," I laugh. "We don't need you getting a big ego as well."

-I laugh.- "Note to self, no hand contact with Artisan."

"I have to admit, it could be kinda funny though."

"Well the next time I meet him Ill see what happens..."

I hold up one hand, palm facing the ceiling. "Good idea..." I hold up the other in the same way. "... or bad idea." I move my hands like they're scales, keeping them balanced in the middle.

I let them drop back to my sides, chuckling. "Can't decide."

"We'll let fate decide..."

"Fair enough."

-I just smile at her.-

I smile back, but then a thought occurs to me. "Do you ever wish that you had siblings? They can be a pain, but I wouldn't dream of giving them up."

"You know, I've never given it thought actually..."

"Really?"

"yeah... I guess the others of the Maker's creation technically qualify..."

I nod. "It makes sense."

A cat patronus with shaggy fur bounds into the room. "Hey guys, just Pixie. Phoenix, I got a package for ya from the parents back by the gate." It pauses to sit down, flicking its tail. "Everything's fine at Hogwarts. Miss you guys too."

"Well that was nice of her!"

Phoenix: I smile. "Yeah. I'll be back in a few, it'll take me five minutes max to get there and back." I kiss his cheek and leave quickly before guilt makes me change my mind.

I reach the gate and Pixie's standing there... as an accurate copy of myself. She's even wearing my clothes and blue contact lenses. She's holding a parcel, which actually was sent from our parents, containing books. I hug her quickly. "Thanks for doing this, Pix."

Pixie: "No problem. Just hurry back, will ya? I really do hate pretending to be you. This is the third time ya know."

Phoenix: "Third time?"

Pixie: "... Guess I forgot to tell you about the second one... I'll explain later." I laugh nervously. "Catch ya later!" I hurry towards the bungalow.

Phoenix: I sigh and apparate to Mortem's old house.

I walk inside. It's pretty hard to hide my amazement at this place, but I manage. I show him the parcel. "Got it."

"Let's see what's in it Birdie..."

Birdie? Oh, right.

I take off the packaging and open the box to reveal...
... books.

They must be Phoenix's from home. She's always going on about how she missed her fiction stuff...

-I start taking them out.- "Ravenclaw qualities are shining through..." -I laugh and hold onto her.-

I chuckle, dying inside. You better hurry up, Nix. You owe me. "Yeah, I guess so. To be honest, I forgot I had all these..." I didn't even know they existed.
