"It'll take nothing but a minute."


The man nodded and vanished, while Cynder looked to Joa.
"If we're going to get away with this, we're going to need to be sneaky about this.."

"No. Descole would hate this bastard as much as us....."
He was there within a moment.

Pitch had Descole by the arm.
The masked man squirmed and tugged away from the other's grip before noticing CYnder.
Instantly, the Auror scowled.

"What on earth is happening?"

"Not that it's any of ya business in my opinion, but Enzo took over this place..."

Cynder's expression remained stony, as she turned her face to Descole.
"Descole, you promised me that after our last misunderstanding, you'd help me. Right?"

A hesitation, he nodded.

Cynder continued.
"There is an evil Eyes user under the name of Enzo... and he captured my uncle... imprisoned his people..-- please. Help me..."


A longer wait, a choked uncertainty. A look from Pitch, though he hated this man, made Jean nod.
"Very well. I'll help."

"I'll start freein people, you guys go get Enzo..."

A nod, Cynder quickly moved and hugged Joa. A sisterly, sibling-like hug. She was genuinely scared about this, but she would not let it show.

"Good luck, Joa.... be careful, and hurry to us as soon as you can, yeah?"

Pulling back, she nodded and motioned to the two men with her.

Pitch's expression darkened, and Descole drew his sword.

Cynder, herself, turned to the dragon, Justice, and shot forward to find the cursed bastard.
Descole managed to hitch a ride on one of Pitch's Nightmares, which the dark spirit summoned along.

"Damn this is a weird ass day..." Joachim muttered as he ran off. 

Enzo sat outside of geds house, as though waiting.

The ponding of hooves, and the loud snarl of the dragon heralded Cynder's group's arrival.

The white, wolf-faced beast landed not far from the home, curling and slinking forward, toward Enzo, stopping just feet before him.
Pitch and Descole were behind her, seated on beasts as black as the night.
Both held a blade. Both looked hungry for war.


"Enzo," Justice snarled out, as he body shifted back to the shape of the girl, "... You cursed man... you wanted me? Well here I am..."

"It was nots much you I wanted. You merely facilitate him coming here." He pointed to Pitch.

"And an auror. It has been many a year since I last fought one of your kind."

Descole dismounted from the mare with rusty skill, landing swuarely on his feet, swinging his sword at his side.
"You, Enzo, were supposed to be dead.... why can't you just stay so?"


As for Pitch, the dark creature beneath him pranced anxiously, tossing her head and giving a whinny, as his scythe was arched back against his shoulder. He remained quite silent, though Cynder spoke for him.

"Let my uncle go, Enzo. I have no time for silly chatter."

"Hand the nightmare king to me...and I shall withdraw my forces with a minimum of fuss."

A silent plan had been shared between the young shapeshifter and the Nightmare King.
Without a single glance toward him, Pitch's nightmare was urged forward, scythe vanishing in what was a well-feigned submittal.



Cynder, herself, stared pointedly at Enzo.
"Keep your word, Boniface...... or there will be repercussions."

"I shall... now get over here..."

Pitch dismounted his mare, who pranced, at his order, back to Cynder.

It seemed to be staring blatantly at Boniface, as Cynder was.



Pitch seemed to have surrendered, stepping before Enzo and slumping his shoulders, staying as silent as stone.

"Excellent... after his execution, we shall leave." With that Enzo's minions shoot light spells at him in an attempt to keep him caged.

There was no escaping at this point.

Pitch grimaced in the light, his eyes narrowing, pupils dilating to a pinpoint.
And yet, in this moment......

Amungst the light, the pawprint against Cynder's skin again began to light up.

"I said, Enzo... release. My. Uncle."

"Very well..." He snapped his fingers and two peons come out holding the battered and beaten Ged.

On the other side, Joachim's raids were going very well having learnt how to lock pick with next to nothing among other street skills that were coming in handy.

As Ged was brought out, his dark eyes lowered and his body looking even more old than ever before, the dark spirit tensed. He did not look to Cynder, but a nonverbal connection was shared between them.

The girl stepped toward Gladamier, moving to pick him up, help him to Descole's side.
The Auror helped Ged stand, while Cynder once more turned toward Enzo.


"Allow me to give the Nightmare King a last farewell.... will you?"

"You're wasting my time... I have vengeance to extract. Don't make me reconsider my generosity." He demanded as an angry god would.

"Can you not extract it later, bastard? Give me one goodbye. And I will leave you to the executions..!"

"Be quick about it or I'll have you all executed as well!"
