Shapeshifter's Underground (Somewhere under London)

A slight smile, Ged tried to force the concern from his mind right now.

"And very humble, as well. You're smarter than you think, Joa. But Please... please be careful about Daisy."

"Don't worry.. I'll keep ya niece safe, and I'll come back."

-Tough shit I don't have any clue HOW but I can't let Ged down.-

A slight sigh, Ged put a hand on Joa's shoulder, and gave a smile past his bushy beard, his scar stretching over his cheek as it always had.

"You're a good boy, Joachim. And a wonderful man to call my son."

-Son... My heart lifts up a bit but it falls again at the blind trust he has in me.-

- I smile at him smally.- "I try..."

A gentle half-squeeze to comfort Joa, Ged pulled back to himself and leaned his weight again on his staff, sighing slowly.

"I've got some more work to do in the fields before winter, so that we have crops throughout the start of next year, when the few children we have leave for school and the men leave to get a job for the year.
Thank you, Joa, for coming and telling me about this..."

"No trouble... I'll try to keep ya up ta snuff with it. But she ain't harmin' a hair on Cynda's head..."

A small smile, Ged again turned his head to Joa, his eyes concerned. He looked much older, with so much on his mind.
But it didn't matter, not to him.

"Thank you, Joa. I would do more to help, but the people here need me..."

"I get ya, big time responsibility like this is more ya department anyway..." -I say light heartedly.-

"Here, I'll talk ta Cynda, get 'er up to date.."

Another exhale, Ged was glad to know that Joachim could handle this.
He would take hi own action, but.. with everyone here...

"Thank you, Joa. You're very, very helpful."

"No problem! See ya!"

-I disapparate out but I leave behind accidentally one sheet of parchment. On it were my grades currently. Close to everything was either a P for Poor and an occasional lucky A for Acceptable.-

Ged picked up the piece of Parchment and looked it over.
A serious look crossed over his face before he gave a laugh and shook his head.

"I'll have to speak to him about this... Silly boy.."

I arrive back, might as well tell Ged all about my encounter with Daisy so far.

Ged remained quiet as he worked in his house, fixing an old clock on the wall.

He looked tired, but not at all in any mood to sleep. He did enjoy working, anyway.
Joa's grade paper sat nearby on the table, looking as if it had been read over several times through.

I knock on the door to his place, I'm glad I was able to keep his girl safe.

"Come in,"

Ged spoke absent-mindedly, tinkering with the figurines to try and get them to work.
Whoever it was, he would enjoy company.

I walk inside, making sure to take off my shoes before going any further. "Hey, its me!"

Gladamier turned his head and smiled to Joa, noting his movement to take off his shoes, feeling a warmth flood into him.

"Good day, Joachim."

"Hey just wanted to let ya know, now Cynda' is up to speed about the whole Daisy thing and not to mention I figured out she's not very good at recognizin' when she's been conned." I add proudly onto my report.

Ged gave a bright smile, the scar on his face stretching warmly over his cheek, as it always did.

"Wonderful, Joa! Very, very good job! Thank you, very much... I owe you a lot, for what you've been doing for me."

"Ah don't worry 'bout it... I like helpin' ya out!"

Makes me feel like I got more of a purpose in the world than just making people's pockets lighter.

Ged seemed quite glad, now, his exhaustion disappearing from his face.

"I'm glad you do, at least. And, while you're here,"

The man motioned gently to the grade paper.

"... I do have a little question about that."

"Ahhhh... yes?" I pretend to act completely oblivious.

Ged gave a small laugh, pulling out a chair for Joa and motioning to it, sitting in one across the way, the paper between them.

"I'm not upset, Joa,"
Ged smiled kindly, his eyes soft.
"I was the same when I was your age."

"Wai...wha...." I stammer completely confused by that statement "Come again?"

Ged chuckled, amused by Joachim's reaction.

"I was the same when I was your age. Sit, I'll make you some tea."
