The Dungeons

She was pacing up and down in the dungons, her hair down for once.

Death was wandering the dungeons when he saw Lethe. "Hello Lethe. What are you doing down here?" He approached her slowly, casualy.

'Am i not aloud to walk around? is it banned or something?'

Ha! Sounds like something I would say. Ahriman mused, finally making his presence known.

Death grinned slightly. "No, it's not against the rules, although I'm sure that even if it were you'd still be doing it. I just wanted.... Nevermind. How've you been?" Death kept his tone formal.

You're nervous about something. What's got you nervous Death?

She narrowed her eyes, not trusting him. 'Im fine. wonderful, infact.'

He smiled, "Good, I'm glad to hear you've been doing well." He hesitated, "Lethe...may I ask you something?"

Come on, you're hiding something Death. What is it?

You'll see Ahriman. Patience.

'Cirtainly you can ask, Death. doesnt mean you will get an answer.'

Ahriman laughed. I forgot how much I liked this chick. She's hilarious.

Death laughed softly. "Indeed. Do you have to stay near River? Or is your separation permanent, no strings attached?"

Ahriman fell silent. Are you thinking of....?

Yes, if that potion worked for them it should work for us. I know how much you want a body of your own.

She frownd, remembering when she had pushed herself into Rivers head for information. How ill she was after...
'I dont know. Havent bothered testing anything out.'

Let me ask the questions Death. I know more about this seeing as I'm the one being separated. Ahriman took control of Death's body.

"Hola, Ahriman here. So, Death was asking the wrong questions. Does your body break down when you're away from River for more than, let's say, 48 hours?"

What a way to put it blunt Ahriman.

She tilts her head to the side. 'Why, Ahriman, should i tell you?'

"Because I can't live like this Lethe!" he exclaimed, his voice raising slightly. He wanted answers, he wanted a body! "I ain't gonna go back to living a few days with my own body and then being sucked back into this cage! I need my own body!" He was breaking, he couldn't take anymore of this.

Calm down Ahriman. If you shout at her she won't tell you anything. She is a woman after all.

She watched him, not speaking for a while. She turned away from him, walking toward the wall and leaning against it. 'Fine then. No, it seams i dont have to be around River.' SHe says the name with hate. 'However, it seems that...I cant be around her. SHe makes me ill.'

Meh, I can live with that. Ahriman thought nonchalantly.

Ahriman! You can live without talking to me or being around me? Wow, you really are quite cruel. I thought we were friends.

Well, either I have a body and stay away from you, or I don't. Which is worse?

I can't say Ahriman.

Ahriman kept a level expression throughout their conversation. Only blinking when it was over. "Lethe, tell me, if you were in my situation, would you chose to have a body or not?"

She snorts. 'Well, i would want to be as far away from River and Death as i could be.'

Ahriman, Lethe is not you. She obviously hates River, you don't hate me. Or at least I don't think you do.

Ahriman was silent. The decision was difficult. "Where's that potion book Lethe?"

She shrugs. 'Who know? River proberly burnt it. or hid it. i dont have it.'

"River," Ahriman hissed through clenched teeth.

Ahriman, if you want I'll talk to River and see what became of the book.

Ahriman nodded, letting Death have his body back. "Thank you Lethe. Your information has helped me greatly."

Ooc Take the hint River.

Lethe grinned. 'Course, i just love helping people. makes my day.' she rolled her eyes.

Put River somewhere so that Death can talk to her about the book.

He walked to a secretive part of the dungeon and set his bag down. He took out all the supplies and began setting up.

-I'm out walking around and hear some movement in a usually quiet part of the dungeons.-

-I open the door to find Death at work.- "Death..."

-waves again-
