"Okay, we can discuss our ethical standards later. I came here to talk to you about faking your death. We're doing it. Period. End of discussion."

I laugh. You left me, death. You left me alone...you have no right to saying anything about my life now. You cant just order me to pretend to be dead.'

IC He sighed, frustrated with the situation he was in again. "River, ever since I started seeing you I've been put into sticky situation after sticky situation. I'm tired of it. I'm telling you, you're going to play dead or, dammit, I will put you under the Imperious Curse."

'and threatnening me is really doing to get me on board with an idea.'

"I've passed the point of caring River. I'm telling you."

'ANd you think i havent passsed that point already? I am fed up, Death. Fed of of caring and hurting and people hating me and everything. I dont want to do this anymore. I cant...'

"Then let's fake your death. Stop fighting me on this River," he said softly.

'but ill still remember...even when everyone will have moved on and forgotten me, i will remember everthng.'

"We're between a rock and a hard place right now. Tough decisions must be made."

I put my head in my hands. 'I dont know, death..either way I loose myself.'

IC He wanted to pull her into his arms and comfort her, but at the same time, it was all her fault. This whole mess was her fault. He knew that, but it never stopped him from loving her.

"River... Please, I'm so tired. Let's make this stop."

I  dont react for a long time, just sit still. Not looking at him. Finally, though, with a small nod, I simply say 'okay'

Swapping threads, we want this done in a public place

There was a small group stood outside the shrieaking shack, shivering slightly from the winter cold. Some had their faces covered; worried they would be spotted supporting Crouch, but others held their heads high, smiling, waiting

Crouch looked out the boarded windows of the shack and couldn't help but find himself pleased. "My public awaits!" He muttered to himself jovially.

As good as the turnout was, he couldn't help but find a little disappointment in the lack of familiar faces. After all, this party was for them. He couldn't move onto the main event without the guests of honor. 

He'd give them a few more minutes, build the suspense and allow more people to attend before he made his move...
