"Really? That's pretty interesting, how did you learnt to do that?"

'I always have it. It gift, i train myself to use it.' he informed the boy, still treading forwards.

"Fascinating..."

'but i can't abuse it, it fragile power.' he mumbled, shaking his head.

"Such as when you use too much of it it drains you?"

'Da..' he nodded. 'I think it would anyway, never got that far.'

"I know exactly how that feels, little known fact, if I use too much of my powers, I could die..."

'Ah, ok. I'm not sure if i right though, just a guess.' Axel shrugged. 'But if i get stronger, i could use powers more without risk.'

"Well if you want..." I stop myself, "No... actually that woud look wrong to everyone. They'll think I was trying to corrupt you."

'I not care about people's view, but hey, your call.' he continued walking. 'i been training on own, it going well.'

"Would you mind if I at least watched?"

'I not mind.' he smiled, still leading the way. The air seemed thicker, almost denser the deeper they went into the tunnel.

Breath became a little harder to obtain, not enough to be a hinderance but enough to know they weren't above ground any longer.

"It's underground..."

'Da.' he confirmed. 'Don't go claustrophobic on me though.' he half-warned, half-instructed. Axel had a feeling it wouldnt be long until they found some sort of exit.

"Oh don't worry, I actually find solace in tight spaces..."

ic 'Good, i comfortable too.' Axel continued their trek, feeling the air pressure change once more. 'Not entirely sure where this'll end but..'

ic 'Da, well, we keep walking.' the air seemed to be getting lighter again, and Axel exhaled slowly, calmly.

The chalk white creature lipped it's blood covered lips, slowly savoring the flavor of it's last meal.

The wendigo had taken up residence in this place for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it was remote enough that no one ever went in there. Second, it had easy access to a veritable buffet of young wizards. With each of their disappearances, he grew stronger.  

However a lingering problem of wizards using magic to fight back was becoming an increasing headache. His human form was almost damaged during his last hunt. In the time he was more accustomed to, wizards were a rarity and most of them didn't develop their magic to any sort of use against him. Wizards were a delicacy before whereas now they were tasty threats. 

"Seems your menu has been cut in half by the ages..." came a voice in his head. It was calm, unwavering and yet held presence. It was as though the words were the embodiment of the person who spoke them.

The beast snarled at the room around him, trying to find the source. He sniffed to try and find the smell of flesh...

"Do not bother looking for me. You will not find me for I am not here. Just know I come as a friend."

Achak let out a low growl as he answered, "Wendigos do not have friends..."

"But perhaps an ally of convenience? I know your type, beast. You have no care of teaching, worldly outcomes or any such nonsense. You crave survival, and you want to hunt like you did before. Unrestrained, have the humans be little more than buffalo to you as they were once before. Magic stands against you as it has stood against me. BUt I believe I have a way to see magic die... and with it, the entire populace of earth would be easy prey for you. I can help you realize this."

"And what's to say after you do that, I don't eat you next?" The wendigo challenged.

"Even if you did it would not matter. My point will have been made and all things after that would be inconsequential where I am concerned."

"I take it you want something for this?" Achak bared his fangs, he hated the notion of working with his prey but if the reward was as good as suggested he couldn't pass it up.

"I do, and you will be made known of what I wish when it is time to fulfill your end. For now, I bid you adieu, happy hunting..."

The presence in his mind left, the words dissipating in midair. If this human were lying to him, he would devour them. But if they were telling the truth...

That could mean many more full stomachs to come...

The wendigo returned to his human shell as the pale white creature in man form readied for whatever his part to play in this would be.

Artian arrived just outside the Shrieking Shack, looking at the decrepit old eye sore from afar.

He smirked deviously at River, "I bet I can stay in there longer than you can!"

'I dont think so...'

"Well then, Game on!" He runs toward the house, laughing with excitement over the contest at hand.

I laugh softly, following him. 'I hope you dont get scared easy!' I call after him. 'After all....it is haunted..'
