Since I'm always anxious and panicky with the simplist of things, I catch it, but it hits me hard in the stomach. I take a second to catch my breath, then nod to him, "I'm okay..."

I bite my lip, throwing it back to him, doing it just a tad faster than last time.

-I catch it still.- "Good throw! " -I tell her encouragingly as I throw the ball back to her, in the same manner.-

I catch it a bit roughly, but it doesn't hit me this time. Come on, Samantha... Be confident! Remember what you did to Crouch? You have power... And you won't be able to control it unless you have the confidence and belief. I cringe as I hear the words in my head, throwing the ball back a bit hardly on accident, a bit startled.

-This catches me off guard but I still catch the ball although it hits me square in the chest.- "Good, that was a strong throw!"

"Thanks..." See, Samantha? You're strong. You're gaining control. Believe in yourself. I look a bit dazed, listening to Jack talk to me in my head, now lost in thought. He's an insane sadist, wanting me to have confidence... Should I feel better about him?

My eyes widen when I see the ball, and I catch it right before it hits my face. I take a deep breath, so thankful I caught that at the right time.

I smile, feeling that warm, fuzzy feeling inside as Crest calls me 'dearest'. I throw it back to him, now a bit more confident, the ball flying smoothly towards him.

-I catch it again.- "Very good!" -I throw it back to her, adding a little more speed.-

I catch it, throwing it back to him quickly, my confidence slowly rising for the moment.

I throw it back to him, looking about done with this exercise. "I think I've mastered the throwing of the ball." I smile.

Sam: I blush a little, looking down shyly, "Thanks..."

Jack: "You've done very well indeed, daughter..." I smile, emerging from the shadows.
