'If you say so. Ill respect your decision, you have my word.' Lukas relented, knowing that there was no point creating needless arguments.

'Although i tell you now, i do believe i have gained power since the Death Eaters fell. I've been biding my time, creating allies on all sides.' It was true, all the major families at Hogwarts were bound to him in some way.

'And i will have power to help you when i am free of her. and i will help you with whatever you want.'

'As you wish, i won't force you to do anything you dont want to do.' he lifted her hand, kissing her fingertips. 'I believe in the freedom of choice...'

'Hm, of course you do.'

'What?' he glared at her for a moment, he was actually being serious.

'I wasnt being rude.' She shakes her head. 'Sorry.'

'No, i apologise.' he exhaled. 'I thought you were being sarcastic.'

'Im not always sarcastic.'

'gathered.' he was stifling a chuckle.

She narrows her eyes in mock annoyance. 'Are you laughing at me?'

'Nooooo...' he said in a way that clearly denoted he was lying.

'Ohhh, watch it, Lukas.'

'or what?' he challenged, grinning openly.

'Ill think of something. Just you wait.'

'Oooh, my knees are quaking.' he joked, upholding his own sarcasm.

'They should be.' SHe grinned

'I'm assuming one day you'll prove why they should be..?'

'Yep. When you least expect it.'

'Then i'll be on guard at all times, i wouldn't want to infuriate you.'

'But that would ruin the fun.'

'Exactly, you wouldn't do it if it was boring.'

She grins and leans back in the chair

'You're almost as mischeivous as i am.' he nodded in approval, reaching forward and grasping one of her hands.
