Strayer Shrine

Cynder nodded glumly.

"Yes. Liesel gave me time to cool down before getting dressed again.
She's making preparations for the wedding now. Putting Flowers down the main hall, setting up an alter, making sure there's going to be some sort of little feast..."

An almost distant look went through Cynder's eyes, but she soon snapped out of it, shaking her head.

"The worst thing is, Artemis, is... it's almost sick. The way she said it, it seemed like those children look up to us so much that... that when she was going to lead us back here after the wedding to..."
Cynder looked away, face red, "She said the children would 'follow our example'. It's... just sick."

-My face contorts with disgust- This entire thing is the most depraved act I've ever seen in my life! Genocide, brain washing, forced marriage... it's all too much! We have to stop her!

I have a small idea, but maybe it will be enough...

-A guard knocks on the door- Ersatz... come on. It's time.

-I mouth to Cynder, Don't panic...

-I go outside and then drop a smoke bomb that clouds up the entire corridor and I sprint to the Temple where I find the blood ball-

-I raise my wand up to destroy it-

"Lower your wand, Ersatz."

The cold voice was low. Similar to Cynder's.
But the source was undetectable.
The only thing other then Artemis and the blood circle was a stone swallow.
The voice rand out again.

"Your petty magic cannot destroy the deep sorcery which binds this place to me."

The stone Swallow turned it's head to face Artemis.
And gave a shriek.

No, I will fight to save this world... no matter the cost, just as my father taught me to do -I shoot a powerful spells toward the blood circle, praying against all hope that it would be enough...-

(( Assuming here you still want Crouch and the rest to come in and save the day. Can't let Arty kill it just yet. ))

The first few spells hit the blood circle, but appeared to do nothing.
The Swallow turned human, and Liesel laughed with insanity as she put a large force-field about it.

"Don't think I trusted your pretty lie.." The woman spoke, walking towards Artemis, like a lion stalking it's prey, "But no matter what you think, Artemis, You will help purge this earth. You will create a new era!"

Cynder found herself making her way through the smoke, coughing slightly, her hand at the level of her eyes.
She heard the blast of spells, and a shriek. But no orders for help.
She doubted guards would come unless ordered.

"Artemis?" The girl cried, trying to keep her heart from racing, from the panic setting in, "Artemis?"

I will die before helping you commit mass genocide and a establish a brain washed order upon the Earth. What happened to all the Strayers represented?! We were a force for justice, a force that never spilled blood... but now it has become the very evil we've fought for so long to destroy.

I will not create your world, I will not marry Cynder and I will NEVER change my mind! -I apparate behind Liesel and shoot at curse at her point blank-

I look to Crouch, "So, what's the plan now?"

OOC I've got a few more minutes left.

We need to find our way in somehow... -I look at the guards guarding the entrance, Crazy Grin- Perhaps those fine gentlemen can give us some assistance?

I smile, "Yes... Perhaps they can... Shall we?"

Another blue shield and a large burst of magic, like a gale storm, blasted from Liesel.
She turned and stared at Artemis, chuckling darkly.

"The world had plunged into too deep an abyss. Artemis, think! This is the reason you followed Archimedes! To rid the world of evil!"

Cynder ran into pure muscle.
A large guard that stared down at her as she hit the stone floor.
Coughing, Cynder shook her head.
"S-Sorry, sir.."

Crouch: -I fly down and sneak behind one of them and cast a nonverbal Avada Kedavra on him and cover up his mouth to avoid him making a noise-

Artemis: No, this is too extreme! If you continue this, the innocent will be destroyed along with the guilty!

I follow behind Crouch, enjoying this so far.

-We walk inside and find large temple inside- Well... didn't wake up this morning and expect to see that...

"Wow..." I look around, a bit amazed at seeing a temple this big.

-Crazy Grin- That ought to be fun to knock down...

"Oh yes, it most definitely will be..." I smirk, "Shall we go on?"

New voices...
Cynder turned, as did the large muscular guard.

"Miss Cynder should stand.." he spoke, his eyes narrowed, "And head to her room and get ready for her wedding. Mr. Artemis will be awaiting his bride..."

But those voices...

Liesel's eyes narrowed.
"Then the earth will be purged of the non-Strayers, as well! Those who have not used the Dark Arts are spared, Artemis. Think how many the world will still have!"

Crouch: -Crazy grin- Certainly... -I start walking toward it-

Artemis: You cannot change my mind! My fiance Liria is still outside and she has used the Dark Arts! But she is innocent! She'll die if this goes through!

Guard #1: -I grab Artemis's arm and steal his wand away- You want us to get him ready mi'lady?

Guard #2: -I grab Cynder's arm and bring her to her room- Get on as much as you can and wait for Lady Strayer... if you delay, I'll come in there and do it all for you!

I follow Crouch.

OOC I g2g now. C ya!

Liesel gave a keen smile as Artemis was held.

"Yes. But one minute, I have another thing to tell him..."
The woman rummaged in her pocket for a moment before pulling out a vial with pink, fizzing liquid.

"Any clue what this is, Artemis?" The woman chuckled darkly, holding it for Artemis to see, "It's a love potion. I can force this down your throat if you don't comply. Now.." putting the thing back in her robes, she motioned to the guard, "Get him ready. See to it that he does not try and escape."

Cynder whimpered, the pressure on her arm a little tight.
Nodding hurridly for the man to let her go, she scurried into the room, gathering up the dress, shaking.
Please let Artemis be okay....

Cyn...hmm......when I wrote that post last night it's not YOU Lir was talking about.....she still has trouble trusting Artemis sadly.
