Strayer Shrine

-The children excitedly applauding and shouts words of gratitude for us purifying the world. I don't understand, how are Cynder and I key to that? I can't handle it.. The not knowing! It was all too much!-

-I sit in my assigned seat- Liesel, please you must tell me what this is about? Why are Cynder and I dressed to be wed and why are these children here? How will this stop the dark arts?

Liesel's eyes fell on the pair.
Those blessed couple.
The man, the Ersatz, one of the strongest Strayers.
And the woman, Cynder, who would bear the purest of Strayer children...

"Dear Erstaz," Liesel spoke in a loud voice, still grinning, "Now that you and Cynder are here, safe, we can safely purge the earth of all those who have used the Dark Arts who are outside of this shrine! And with each couple will bring the purest of Strayer children. Magical, loyal, pure children to restore the earth!"

Cynder felt sick.
Liesel... had brought them here for a mass destruction and breeding.
The Adam and Eves of the new world.

The woman raised her goblet, full of wine, and spoke louder.
"To Artemis, To Cynder, and to the Cleanse!"

-All the children follow suit, all the while I feel sick to my stomach! Not only were thousands... No BILLIONS would be killed, but everyone here would be used to bear Strayer pure bloods! Cynder and I would be forced to marry each other!! I can't be a part of this! I won't be-

Liesel! What you are suggesting is not only mass genocide but it's so depraved.. I refuse to be part of this!! I'll warn everyone of what is happening!!

Ah Crouch so far you are choosing to go with Plan number 2...Well done!

A laugh echoed from Liesel's mouth after she drank from her goblet, sitting back down.

"Dear Artemis, do you not think they don't know what their duty is? They all agreed to come here. As did you. You are bound to me..."
A small, almost crazy smile flickered over Liesel's lips,
"You cannot leave without permission. If you try, you will die. It's all part of the magic of this place, Ersatz. You and your partner must stay. Please, do not trouble yourself. Eat! Enjoy yourself!"


But how could Cynder eat?
Already the sickening thoughts had sprung into her head of the destruction...
Thousands would die...
and she... would have to..

She could feel herself almsost turning green as the bile rose to her mouth.
Choking it back down, Cynder looked with horror at Artemis.
She couldn't say anything. She didn't dare to.

Wait a second!? CROUCH is going to help?!

Great I better start making plan number three

(( Now I feel so happy, knowing I'm not alone being shocked that Crouch would help. Holy shiz, this is freaking exciting! I'm shaking, literally! :D ))

Liesel eyed Artemis. A cool laugh, dark and insane, split the sudden silence.

"You think you can harm me, Artemis? Ersatz, I know all of your spells and talents. That was part of the magic. This deep magic. Deeper then even the darkest trench of hell! Sit now, or I will have my men escort you and your partner to your room."

Their... room..?

"Don't you mean room...s?" Cynder spoke, wary.

Liesel laughed again.

"Of course not! One room for a couple, fitted to their needs and desires. And one large bed for them to stay in!"

One bed..
oh God..

Cynder stood shakily, her hands raised to her throat in horror.

"Sit down, both of you, or you go to your room."

No! It's just I was going to do something but now Crouch is going to help Artemis........I can't do it any more!

(( All right. I need to finish something as well before I return. I might finish the pic of Cyn in this dress tomorrow. ))

Liesel raised a lazy hand and a large blue sheild of magic formed within seconds in front of her.
The spell didn't bounce off, but instead seemed to be absorbed by the sheild... by Liesel herself.
She trembled as the magic powered her, it's strangth petty and small comapired to hers.

"Wrong choice, Ersatz."

Liesel had seeminly transported. Her body movd quickly, speeding towards Artemis. She grabbed his wrist and twisted it painfully behind his back.
Cynder gave a moan of shock and fear at her attack, so sudden.
When the girl leaped to her feet to defend her friend, Liesel moved her hand towards her.
A force of Magic knocked Cynder to the ground.

"Looks like you're both grounded...."

(( Use the force, Liesel. Like a boss, defend your precious table. /shot ))

-I contain a groan of pain, she was so powerful! How could I stop her!-

You won't get away with this! I will find a way to stop you! Even if it cost me my life!

Liesel gave a soft laugh as Cynder sat up, shivering, groaning with pain.

"I doubt that, Ersatz," the woman whispered into Artemis' ear, "The world will be pure again, and you will help me. Come, now. You've ruined the feast."

Looking up, Liesel frowned at the children at the table.
"No worries, all of you. Artemis is having a rough time... adjusting. Come, let me take you two to your room."
With a free hand, Liesel motioned to one of the guards to take Artemis while she bent down an yanked Cynder to her feet.

"Don't get such a beautiful dress dirty, Cynder. A bride should look her best."
Pulling a shaking, near-to-tears Cynder, Liesel stalked off to the two's room.

-I can't give up! I won't give up! There has to be some way to defeat her, I just need to catch her off guard. But how! I doubt she'd let me have possession of my bag again after that stunt-

-I look over at Cynder. She was probably more cut up about this than I was... I ask with concern- Cynder... are you alright?

As they were shoved into their room, Cynder let out a sob.
The door shut and locked behind them, and the girl leaned against it, pounding on it, sobbing.
Hot tears of pain, anger, fear confusion, and sadness began to fall from her eyes.
Mascara and eyeliner that had been so carefully been applied began to run.

Their bags had been taken. Presumably locked in Liesel's quarters.

At Artemis' question, Cynder sank to the floor, shaking worse then a leaf in a gale storm.

"Why, Artemis...?"

Liesel paced in her room, fuming.
She had left the feast, with orders for her men to let the children eat before returning them to their rooms.
Pounding her fists onto her desk, Liesel snarled.
She didn't understand! Those two, of all, were the ones who came most willing! And now they meant to leave!
No. That wouldn't happen.
She wouldn't let it.

-I reach out and comfort her and speak calmly, trying to be strong for us both, lord knows that wasn't easy- We'll make it out of here... I promise... we have to...

Cynder stiffened and pulled away from Artemis' touch.
From his words.
From him.
From the world.

Shivering, the girl buried her face in her hands.
She spoke between sobs.
"Artemis. I have no one close to me. But Liria... she's still out there. We need to find a way. I'm sorry for being so weak... I'm sorry I didn't tell you how unnerved I felt about this..."

Artemis: Don't be sorry Cynder! None of this was your fault. If anything it was mine. I should've seen through this!

Also you do have people who care about you on the outside!

Let's calm down... and try to think of a way out of this!

Henchmen: Mi'lady... what are your orders about the Ersatz and his bride? They don't seem to be following your ambitions.

Cynder paused, taking in a deep breath, wiping her face, her hand coming back black.
She probably looked like a mess.

"I'm sorry, Artemis... And yes. We should think our way out of this... Thank you.."

Liesel was running her fingers through her hair, her eyes narrowed.
Her heart was pounding with anger, her face flushed with the small excitement at the feast.

"I assume we'll have to give them a little push. Love, Potion, Perhaps? I assume we have some in the stores, if you will?"

Artemis: -I smile at her confidently- Okay, lets review what we know... so here, she can learn spells that are known to others... she's extremely powerful, as well we can't leave here without dying... we need some way to distract her powers or render her unable to use them...

Henchmen: I believe so mi'lady... but forgive me, are you certain that would work? Surely the Ersatz has learned how to identify if a drink has been tampered with. Lest you wish it forced down their throats... truth be told, I don't know if I'm strong enough to force it on them both

"Sounds like an impossible task..."
The girl trembled, still faced towards the door.
"She's very kind. And forgiving. That might be a weakness, in some ways. Maybe...?"
she paused.
"No... I doubt she would believe it.."

Liesel turned and eyed the man.
He was right.
No doubt Artemis could recognize a tampered drink. And Cynder was clever with potions. She would know right away.

"Well, then. We'll have to see the Ersatz alone, then. Cynder loves him truly. She made him a promise, but there isn't a way that Love potion would make a difference. Let us allow the commotion to settle. Then we'll make the Ersatz follow out wishes."

What are you thinking about? ANY option right now is better than nothing
