Gloria's Mansion

His frown deepens. "What do you mean? Come on, Crouch. Tell me, please. I'm dying here."

-I nod my head- Very well... Gloria... she's your birth mother...

Jay is silent for a moment, then with obvious strain he waves his wand and mutters, "Muffliato." He pauses a moment, then shouts, "HELL NO!"

I'm sorry my friend... but that's the truth of it... she gave you to her sister because she couldn't have children of her own...

Jay turns away and rubs his eyes angrily to remove the tears that sprang up there. He kicks a stone and it hits the base of a tree with a soft thud. "Not my birth mother..." He shakes his head. "It doesn't matter. She was a much better mother than Gloria could ever unicorning be." Jay glares in the direction of the house. "I guess we'd better get back... I have some serious thinking to do..."

OOC: I would've tried to drag his little moment out longer, but I GTG. See you, Crouch. This has been great

-I nod my head- It'll be alright Jay... let's get back -we dissapparate-

He stands on a balcony at the back of the house, grateful for the cool breeze. He'd been training for a few hours straight - he wasn't sure how long exactly - and it got very hot in the deeper parts of the house after a while of it. Darcy closes his eyes and smiles.

The soft sound of beating wings puts him on alert. Darcy draws his wand slowly and glances around, keeping his breathing even to keep himself calm. When he realises it's only an owl, he puts his wand away. It hoots at him and holds out its leg, showing him a letter. Curiously, he takes it and opens the parchment.

To Darcy,
Before you make any decisions, I would like to ask you a favour: Don't tell Gloria about any of this. It's best for us both.

I would like to tell you that I am didn't mean to cause any trouble for you all when I left Gloria's family. I simply wanted to go my own way. Darcy, I would like it if we could meet so I can explain myself thoroughly. I think ti would be easier in person. Words can come across differently than intended through a letter. There are some good pubs in Hogsmeade - the Hog's Head or the Three Broomsticks - and either of them is fine with me.

Darcy frowns and glances over his shoulder. It can't hurt...

He takes a blank sheet of paper from the study and writes back, noting the time when he will be in Hogsmeade.

OOC: I'm bored and feel like writing something.

IC:

The last of the human-shaped targets shatters, the pieces of wood scattering over the stone floor. While he catches his breath he turns on the spot in case any more of the targets appear. Satisfied that there are none left, he walks over to the table to take a long drink of cold water.

Slow clapping echoes through the room from behind him, and he smiles as he puts the glass down. "You are ready." Gloria says. She walks around him, studying him with a small smile. "Nice... Very nice. You have the same blackness in your soul that Mortem had. What is your destiny?"

"I will avenge Mortem." Darcy begins to smile.

"Yes!" Gloria grins. "What have I taught you?"

"Jay is the enemy." Darcy spits his name.

"And what must you do?"

"I must kill him."

OOC: Ended up being a edited Lion King 2 moment... Oops.

Yeah the second I read the "blackness part" I was like... "yep Lion King 2" lol

OOC: Heh heh I watched it earlier today, I've got Lion King on the brain.

OOC: I'm going to make it as if Jay and Darcy had their conversation so I can continue with the storyline.

IC:

Gloria throws the offending photographs onto her desk and glares at Darcy. He stands there, as impassive as always. "What is the meaning of this?" Gloria hisses.

"He sent me an owl with a request," Darcy says without emotion. "He wanted to meet me. We talked about meaningless subjects; I didn't give anything away. He must've hired someone to take these," he gestures at the photos, "while we were talking."

Gloria watches him for a moment and, satisfied that he isn't lying, she begins to plan. She scoops up the photos and strolls over to the fireplace. One by one, she drops them into the crackling flames. "It seems our little fox tried to trick us... I don't think I can let this go on any longer. I'll have to confront him myself."

"But, Gloria-"

"Enough, Darcy. Who knows? You might redeem yourself by helping me." She turns to him, her eyes blazing. "There will be no more games between Jay and myself. No more lies. No more tricks. This has to end, and soon. I will owl him a time and a place, and we will fight."

"Surely if you warn him, then he will bring back-up?"

"Of course he won't. His pride won't let him." Gloria chuckles. "Silly little thing... He'd want to kill me himself."

"He won't touch you!" Darcy says furiously.

"Of course not. I'm bringing you with me. You will stay hidden and if it gets out of hand you will help me." She pauses. "There is one thing, however..." She leans over to him and whispers her command into his ear. He nods, looking troubled. She pats him on the shoulder. "There's a good lad. Go and train, my boy. Jay won't win this time."

Darcy nods again and leaves. Gloria goes to write the short message. Jay, we need to end this feud between us. Meet me at Mortem's house...

Grace hears the door slam and winces as Darcy's furious roar echoes through the house. "EVERYBODY GET DOWN HERE NOW!" The thunder of footsteps overhead makes the house shake a little.

Grace, however, ignores his command. She knows what's happened, but she holds back her tears. She rushes into her mother's office and finds the file labelled Jay Hawkeye. She hurries out to the stables behind the house.

The young girl tucks the file into her backpack that was already there, puts it on her back, and takes her horse's reins. She gently leads her out of the stables, then mounts her. With a farewell glance at the house, she gallops into the surrounding forest.



Oliver spares no tears for his mother. He doesn't want to seem weak at Darcy's side. As soon as he had shown himself, Darcy had announced that he was now his right-hand man.

"Gloria is dead," Darcy says angrily. None of them have ever seen him show this much emotion before. "But we will NOT break. I am your new leader. We will fight back. Hawkeye CANNOT live. He's betrayed us and killed our teacher. This won't be forgiven.
"This is what I propose: We will recharge our batteries and then, when the time is right, we will launch an attack on the Death Eaters!"

A roar of approval meets his ears, and Darcy grins, drunk on power.

Wow! DE and dissatisfied rouges... Crouch has a LOT of work to do when he gets home.

Yup! Not sure how I'm gonna go with this, I'll have to see what I come up with.

Can't actually RP right now though, sorry.

He sits at the head of the table in Darcy's place and looks down at the gathered people. "Darcy asked me to pass on a message." Young Oliver unrolls a sheet of parchment and begins to read:

"Friends, I have gone to search for someone who could help us in our task. I will return as soon as possible. Until then, Oliver is in charge. You are to obey his every order. All the best, Darcy."

There are a few grumbles of irritation throughout the room, but they quiet at Oliver's glare. "We will continue as usual," Oliver says, his voice carrying through the dining room. "Training. Build up your strength. We need to be prepared for whatever Darcy has planned for when we return. You are dismissed."

Irritated at being ordered by a fourteen-year-old, the group of adults take their leave. They disappear into various rooms of the house to pursue whatever activity takes their fancy.

A young boy, Oliver, answers the door. He nods at her politely then turns and shouts, "Darcy! It's for you!"

Darcy appears from the nearby dining room. He smiles. "I see you received my owl."

"I didn't know about her," he says honestly. "Please, come in." He gestures to the dining room. "Would you like a glass of wine?"

"Vodka it is. Oliver?" He turns to the boy. "Get the butler to get a fresh bottle of vodka, and one of red wine, will you?"

"Of course," Oliver replies. He walks away into the maze-like house.

Darcy closes the door, not bothering to lock it because he's so confident in the spell. He heads into the dining room. "You don't like Ellise much then?"

He takes the seat opposite her. "Our old leader was one of the best I've ever met. She knew exactly what she wanted and how to get there. Since Hawkeye killed her, I've been left in her place." He pauses when the butler comes in.

"The wine and vodka, sir," he says, placing the bottles and glasses on the table.

"Thank you." Darcy pours the drinks as the butler leaves. He pushes the vodka glass and bottle over to Amaya.

-She popped the top of the bottle and took a small gulp straight from the neck.-

Sorry, needed that. Yeah, Abonacci was like a father to me and my sister, but Ellise just tries too hard. You can't relate to her. Loyalty means nothing to me. It didn't stop me snapping that dickhead's neck.

I'm sorry for your loss by the way, she must've been important to you.

"Thank you. She was like a mother." He sips his wine. "But no matter. I've grieved and moved on. I can fully get over her death by completing the task at hand." He puts the glass down. "Hawkeye will regret his actions."
