I smile- He is right...Dumbledore has yet to be wrong...-

-I smile at Liria- Let's hope...

I sigh and sit up- We have to go back now...I'm getting worried- I slide off the bed and get dressed.

-Sigh- Yeah... you're right...

-I get dressed and collect my wand and such-

I sigh and grab my locket..stare at it for a couple of seconds before I put it back on..Back to work.. I walk over to Artemis- Shall we go?-

-I groan a little- I guess we should...

-we leave the castle hand-in-hand. Before we pass the ruined gates, I give Crest some instructions and Artisan makes a bold promise to fix the gate in a few hours. We then apparate out of there-

-I apparate with Liria next to me, Crest is waiting for me-

Crest: Follow. -He starts walking toward one of the buildings-

Artemis: -Smiles- Not even a Hello, Crest?

Crest: -Just keeps walking-

Gives Artemis a worried look

-Smiles reassuringly at Liria- Don't worry, Crest was never much of a talker.

-Crest leads us into a large building, with shelves full of books. There's a large brown one sitting out on the table, clear signs that several pages have been torn out-

Crest: Read. -He leaves the room-

Artemis: -I give Crest a questioning look, but then I sit down, but before pulling out a chair for Liria-

I don't know... -I start reading the book-


Project Sound:

Entry 1: After countless experiments, I Progenitor, have discovered a way to create better, more efficient Strayers. If my calculations are correct, and history suggest it is, under the proper conditions I should be able to create a being with predetermined talents and skills that would allow us Strayers to create new soldiers and fix them to meet any requirements.

Entry 18: It would seem my experiments have hit a roadblock. As it seems I will not be able to create these perfect Strayers at quite the rapid rate I had previously estimated. It would take the same amount of time to create them as they would a normal child. Not to mention, a host would be needed to sustain it, like a normal child.

Entry 19: Today, Arthur and Karen Strayer came to me telling me they were having problems conceiving a child. They had wished for me to provide them with mere clinical advice and possibly a drug. However this is an exceedingly rare opportunity that I cannot pass up. My apologies Karen, but I must conduct my experiment on you if I’m to ensure Project Sound’s success.

Entry 30: Arthur and Karen’s son has been born. Thus far, he has shown no signs to be much more than a mere infant, but then what is to be expected at this current age?

Entry 68: Project Sound is progressing nicely. Today I found the boy was able to cast several spells in an astoundingly rapid pace. I offered him the Moniker “Sound.” HE believed it was because of the speed of his powers was beyond the speed of sound, but in truth it was only because Project Sound is the Project that gave him life.

Entry 104: His nervous system is outstanding. His vision is perfect. His reflexes are quicker than anyone else is in the family. His spells are powerful and fast. His intelligence is remarkable. However his emotions are prone to get the better of him. On missions I have noticed him to blush whenever a member of the opposite sex would approach him. I blame this defect on genetics than anything else.

Entry: 218: It would seem Project Sound has reached a dead end. Granted Sound has enormous potential however I fear he has developed that which I feared he would. He has developed a personality. No matter the training I’ve subjected to him to try and correct this flaw, it still remains. Project Sound is now closed. A dismal failure.


-I close the book and feel complete shock, disgust and so many other feelings all at once. I keep staring at the pages, hoping against hope that I read it all wrong-

-Quietly- Lab rat... that's all I was... a lab rat...

NO!!!!!!! NO YOUR NOT!!!!!!

-I just sit back in my chair completely lost for... words, thoughts, anything!-

I take Artemis's face in my hand and have him look at me- Artemis...you are WAY more vaulable then a lab rat

Artemis: -I look at Liria, but it almost seems like I'm looking through her, not even responding-

Crest: -walks back in- You deserved the truth, brother. Yes, you are still my brother.

And I still love you just as much...- I stroke his face

-I'm too lost in my thoughts to hear them. Was that really what I was? An experiment? A new application of magic? A simple prototype to a failed experiment?

Did Fade know? Did Reflect? Too late to ask them now... there's only one other who could know about it now... Progenitor. I have to know if they knew or not-

-I stand up and start heading for the door-

I just kinda sit there staring at Artemis..he wasnt really acknowledging my exsistence at this point....

-Artemis pulls out his wand and gets ready to disapparate-

Crest: Where are you going Artemis?

Artemis: -quietly, sadly- Azkaban. I have to know if my parents knew about this or not...

I go up to Artemis and hold his hand- Im coming too..

I keep holdig his hand tightly- Then Secret is coming too....If you dont take me then I'll have Crest take me.
