The Walking Dead RP

Steph looked herself over, not finding any bitemarks. A few splatters of blood but nothing to be concerned about. She shook her head "No..."

She checked herself over quickly. "I'm good."

Chris looked between them both up and down to make sure they were being honest. A man would say anything to breath another few seconds...

However their stories checked out so he unsheathed his sword. "Good... less work for me."

"Look, I'm sorry about my attitude earlier, I'm a bit on edge. I'm sure you guys can understand."

Steph only nods at her apology
"There's no need to apologize..." She said "Were all on edge I would think."

"Yeah, guess so..."

He puts his guns in a holster, "Well it's been a hoot. See you around.." Chris started to walk off, thinking that others would only be extra baggage that would hinder his survival.

"Dude! We could use your skill. You've obviously got a lot. And, hey, safety in numbers and all that shit." She twirled her ax around in her hands nervously.

"Shes right." Steph commented putting her hatchets back on her belt loops. "We all have skills that would only benefit each others survival."

"Our skills would be assets to each other and two extra bodies in the group means two more targets for a walker to fight besides me. However your comparable combat skills would render the concern nil. All that is good but consider the drawbacks." Chris was a highly calculating individual, measuring every asset or variable as he came across it and acted in accordance to the best outcome for him. 

In a world where it's everyone else vs. you, you pick you every time. That is what Chris had learnt...

"We would need three times the food intake in a world where food is scarce enough. Three times the water with the same conditions as previously mentioned. Furthermore larger groups cause more notice, thus more walker attacks as well as raiders. And above all else, when one of us dies, there will be pain if we all get attached..."

"As the drawbacks far exceed the benefits, I suggest we just part ways..."

"Dude, do you know the basics of survival? Your chances at surviving this things is greater in a group where others got your back. This ain't just going off into the woods to be a hermit. These things are ruthless."

She paused because, hell, everyone who was still alive knew these things were awful. "Anyway, who said about getting attached to your sorry ass?" She smirked. "Dream on."

Chris smirked, "You got moxy I'll give you that. I just hope with the whole, 'group survival is better thing', your mouth isn't writing checks your ass can't cash..."

"Alright, I'll go with you for now. Didn't have much of a destination in mind anyway. But no names."

"How 'bout aliases then?" she offered.

Steph nodded to the suggestion. On the surface this was an agreement. Plus there's no way she was giving away her real name...
"It's Shade" she replied for her aliase (cause I'm unoriginal)

"C will suffice for me. Simple, easy to remember..."

OOC 

She smiled internally, she was warring with herself to pick a completely nerdy name that would have amused her despite her current surroundings. Instead she went with, "Alex."

Steph took a glance outside, pulling her scarf over her face and her goggles down over her eyes
"If we're going we should decide when and soon...it's getting dark."

"Well this place is already cleared out, may as well find some place here or at least nearby..." He pulled his hood up.

She looked around at what little was left in the store. "We could barricade ourselves for the night and head somewhere else in the morning. I don't know about y'all but I hate fighting those things at night."

"I agree with fortifying this place" Steph agreed looking around. "Whose going to stay awake?" The need for a look out was prudent in her mind

"I'll stay awake. I'm a bit of a night owl anyway..." He took a chair out and placed it front of the door.

She sat down and leaned against the shelving. "So, where y'all from?"

Steph was silent before awnsering
"Missouri...it's in ruins now."

"Me? I've been a lot of places..." It was a vague answer but Chris didn't feel like disclosing information about himself was either necessary or beneficial in any way.

"'M from Florida... I miss it."

"Sad...most of those places won't ever be the same."
