Mountainous Estate

"It seems..." He started slowly, handing the letter out to her as he hugged her too, "River is no more..."

Violet eyes widdened as her jaw dropped in surprise. Taking the note, eyes flashed across it once, twice and the third time reality sunk in " you can't be serious... what in Merlin's beard happened...?"

"She... had been opposing me, as she always has. Things were said..." He takes a seat on the stairs, trying to get his brain together, "Why couldn't she have just understood what I was doing?! I was doing it all for us!! Why didn't she understand!?!" In a fit of short lived rage, he shoot a spell at a wall which promptly obliterated it.

She didn't flinch but simply sat a stair below him, hand resting gently on his leg. " not everyone is going to understand our cause.. no matter what the intention... " she was almost at a loss for words, comforting never really her forte.

"... I'll admit Amy, this is indeed a confusing time in my life. First the master dies, then I'm told he's not truly with me and it's all in my head, and now River is dead..."

"I'm sorry but if things go any further south..." He shook his head, unable to say aloud what he was thinking.

"People who die are always with us... unicorn what anyone else says...just because it's in your head doesn't mean it isnt real."

"It's just, how can a single man... hell, how can an ARMY of men even approach the shadows of all the dark lord did? He was a god among insects, but for some reason even the god fell!"

"There really is nothing true in the world isn't there?"

Pausing for a moment to take in his words she gazed up at him "do you want to know what's truly real? My confidence and love for you... as well as Alexis'. And as I've said many times. I believe your power is above that of the dark lords. As are your ambitions.'

He smirked at her, lightly picked up from her words, "Thank you sweetie... I'll just need some time to get over all this I suppose..."

She nodded " I know what it's like to lose family you actually care about.... just tell me what I can do to make this easier, love."

"Just be yourself, that's the most I can ask..." Crouch told her as he put his arms around her.

Ic "pretty sure I'm capable of that." She smiled mischievously kissing his cheek softly.

He smirked at her, a spark of his craze returning, "You're the greatest you know that..."

"Seems I have some people to destroy for ruining my sister's mind and turning her against me. I don't suppose you have an open schedule do you?"

She grinned wickedly standing and offering him her pale hand " I always have time to cause choas with my favourite dark lord."

Crouch chuckled a little, under his breath, "Dark Lord Crouch... has a nice ring to it doesn't it?"

"In an case, I'll need to get into contact with one of our friends who's duping some pitiful muggle crusaders into being our unknowing pawns..."

"The name suits you perfectly, love." She gave a dark giggle "Have to love how easily muggles are manipulated to the will of those more powerful then themselves."

"Is that not their only function in life? To serve their betters? And yet the Ministry would have us believe they would tear us to shreds..." He laughed a little, "Even I can't make a sick joke like that."

"The only thing muggles can tear up are eachother..." she smirked impishly. " so which of our lovely death eaters was tasked to handle the vermin?"

"Her name is Donia, an explemary example of our spies..." 

OOC Explemary example, did I just say and speak a redundant redundancy? O.o

Ooc Lmao that was a tad unnecessary,  though quite amusing. 

Ic "a trustworthy spy I hope... seems luck isn't always on our side as far as double crossers are concerned."

"If I had known that potion master was working against us, I would've put his entrails into those potion bottles..." He scowled furiously, "At least he paid for his betrayal..."

She nodded in understanding " there really wasn't any way of truly knowing, love. He hid it quite well even from Voldemort himself... but that's over with. Time to look forwards and not repeat any past mistakes."

He took a couple deep breaths to cool his seething fury, and when he was at last in check, he opened his eyes again. "Right. It's taken all I've had not to storm into the Ministry and make it a festering pile of char. But I know, with how few of us are left, we can't afford the loss of a single one of us."

"No longer is it the time for beasts and monsters. Now is the time of boogeymen and phantoms. It's all we can do to ensure longevity for now..."

"So many to destroy... so little time..."

And so little information. 

After the war, all the students from his year seemed to have scattered, infecting the world with their sheer presence. Their continued breath mocked his sister and him.

And to insult him was to insult the Dark Lord... 

Such an indignation could not go unchecked. There had to be a way to unite them again, bring them all to one place so he could thrash them in a single glorious stroke and then continue his grander machinations. 

It was then that the answer came to him and brought a smile once more to his face, "Let's give the town something to talk about..." He addressed the air next to him, envisioning his former master nodding in approval over his plan.

"Home sweet home..." Crouch breathed a breath of relief as he entered the dark estate with River.

"I'll tell you, those speeches are draining. My master made it look easy!" He chuckled as he started to escort his sister to the lower levels.
