My Proposal for Crouch

It's come to my attention that some of you are irked by Crouch's apparent 'invincibility.'

Let me clarify one thing.

I don't WANT Crouch to be invincible. I REALLY don't. I mean how fun would Return of the Jedi have been if Luke didn't have a prayer against Vader?

The werewolf side of Crouch I regretted the minute I did it. My original intention was just for Crouch to be a very powerful wizard. The chips just kind of fell the way they did.

So therefore I have a proposal for how to make Crouch weaker. I'm a fair man so as soon as the majority agrees with it I'll do it. We can discuss, debate, compromise until the majority is happy and it shall be put into action.

For it to work, I need a hunter character or some other character of great speed. Kurdt has already volunteered so round of applause to him.

The basic premise is this:

It seems neigh impossible for Crouch to be the first hybrid ever. Just completely unlikely. So it would make sense for humans to have made a weapon to fight against their kind.

My thinking is some kind of mystical stake that can remove properties of the Hybrid. Lewis would stab Crouch with it and start draining at his abilities.

The stake is then destroyed to prohibit Crouch getting those abilities back, permanently, no if's-ands-or-buts.

So here's what would stay and go:

Stay:
Powerful magic (This has been a central point in Crouch character since his inception so it's staying but I'll let it deplete more.)
Immortality (Just aging, because I have established this in future rp. He is still susceptible to being killed.)

Goes:
Enhanced senses
Werewolf form (always regretted that anyway)
Enhanced speed and strength
Can't gain back magic by drinking blood

Undecided on:
Weakness to Sunlight (Reason be is I'm caught on either making the weakness stronger to the point of completely rendering the spells used to counteract it useless or just omitting it altogether for convenience of RP)
Fangs (That I'm just plain unsure about. I mean I'm getting rid of anything useful coming from drinking blood so... -shrug-)
Blood regeneration (I mean Crouch doesn't get magic back from blood, should he get vitality back?)

Does this seem fair? I really am trying to level him out here. This question has plagued my mind for a while and I didn't realize it was such a huge issue until very recently. Am I missing anything or anything anyone wants to add?

I was thinking last night that we could just find a cure for vampirism or lycanthropy or something, but I wasn't certain on this as people would complain about canon. Maybe I've just been playing too much Oblivion, but I feel it's a plausible idea. I like the basis of your idea Crouch, it's just a magical stake seems to weird to me...

although fangs seem insanely useless without proper vampirism.

If I'm honest, I prefer the stake idea. The cure for lycanthropy wouldn't only just affect Crouch, it would affect Phoenix, Eugene and Amaya as well. And while I can safely say that I don't want Phoenix to become human (being a werewolf is the core of her character), I know it would cause her some unwanted conflict.

My vote is go ahead if you want, but I'd prefer the stake.

fangs have a purpose of being sexy.. its the only justification I have right now

Crouch, if you want Lewis to have the stake, he's gonna need some help developing it because he's not very powerful when it comes to magic. Perhaps Eugene could help him? Does anyone else have any scientific characters?

I have Tony, but he's more about technology and he's not very good with magic.

To do this whole thing properly, I think this should wait until Crouch is acting openly bad again, which will be very soon.

Also it may make sense for Crouch to keep one aspect of lycanthropy. That way he has one human, vampire and ww part for balance?

KEEP THE FANGS!! You're not a vampire without fangs! :3 And why not drink blood? It doesn't have to power his magic more, why not just help heal physical wounds?
