A Playground in London

ooc probably not, Donia was more of the undercover death eater type, she deliberately didn't let people know she was one of them.

ic She closed the distance between them, pale blue eyes quickly flitting from side to side, scanning the park for any other people. After detecting nobody, she rolls up the left arm of her hoodie, briefly revealing her mark.

'I've come to talk to you. Don't worry, i'm not the type that'll cut your throat.'
not yet anyway.

Raven is suspicious of this Death Eater, but she doesn't voice it.  "What do you want to talk about?"

Deciding to take a seat in the swing next to Raven, she pulls down her hood, revealing her crop of white hair. 

'I know a lot about you. You used to be a servant, and you joined the cause because Crouch freed you, and people understand your desires. You have your independence but... it's not as liberating as you thought, is it?'

She looked intently at Raven, wondering if her assumptions were wrong. 'The Death Eaters freed me too.'

Raven is pretty impressed by this woman's intelligence and knowledge.  "How did they free you?"

'I.. used to go to a muggle boarding school. When my magic started manifesting, like my father knew it would, it caused a lot of people to suspect me, and want to arrest me. The Death Eaters helped me escape into the wizarding world.' It was a simplified version of the story, as Donia never spoke of it. 

Donia paused, remembering her explicit purpose for talking to Raven. 'I'm essentially bound to them, as i know they wouldn't hesitate to throw me under the bus if i decided to use my talents against them.'

Raven raises a brow.  "I wouldn't betray them either..."

'That's not what i meant.' She paused again, choosing her words carefully. 'What i'm saying is that the Death Eaters seem like this movement where you can do whatever you like, because you're free from the rules. And whilst you're free from the rules made by the Ministers of Magic, you aren't free of their rules. We are bound in a different way, to them.'

She quickly ran her fingers through her hair, still looking around to see if anyone else was present. Donia speaks again in a lower tone. 'Are you happier than you were before?'

"Happier than I was before what?"

'Before you were freed by Crouch, you're happier now, right?'

Raven nods, "Much happier..."

She offers a sad smile. 'Then be happy with what you have now, because you don't know if anything better than this life will come along. And Crouch is a loyal friend, believe it or not. I do my best to not be friends with other Death Eaters but it's quite obvious he is loyal to the people he learns to trust.'

"I know he is..."  But sometimes it seems like he trusts the wrong people...

'Then why do you seem so unhappy? I was very miserable when i first got recruited as a Death Eater.' She admitted, still speaking quietly. 'I had absolutely no friends, and i used to think i would've been happier in the muggle world.'

"Crouch and I had a fight..." She looks down, still feeling terrible abou it.

'You think you guys can be friends again?' She was curious how strong their friendship was, but didn't want to become too nosy.

Raven doesn't have to think to long to answer.  "Yes.  I believe we can."

'well then, i think you found someone who wants the best for you, just as you want the best for them.' She offered the girl a small smile, her thin lips creasing at the edges. 'I'm glad he makes you happy.'

"He does make me happy... But he did just blindly help someone make me feel humiliated, even if it wasn't directed towards me..."

'Can you blame someone for being loyal?'
Yes.


'I know Crouch isn't the most sympathetic person, but he is your friend, and he will care that he's upset you. Yeah, he's a Death Eater, and we're not supposed to trust anyone, but he trusts you, and your opinion. You need to make sure he doesn't make the same mistake.'

What if instead of just you, he puts the whole movement in jeopardy too?

"I know... It's just hard..."

She tried to make her smile slightly comforting, but her features were not naturally suited for this. 'I understand. After all, if he listens to anyone but people allied with the Death Eaters, he's listening to an enemy, in a way.'

"An enemy to me... She's not an enemy to him, apparently..."

'Some loyalties run deeper than they should.' She muttered, considering her own past choices. 'And then people change, we become different... but we still cling to these old loyalties, as if we can get back who we used to be.'

OOC Breaking time and space

IC After his chat with Raven he found himself wandering into a small playground that was currently empty of people.

He never understood why playgrounds were where he always ended up when he was left to wander. He sat down on one of the benches and put his head into his hands, letting out a long sigh.

I approch from behind him, my hands in my pockets as i sit next to him. I smile tightly as I look at him. "Death'
