The girl nodded, and soundlessly pulled him into a hug. Ace didn't know what she was trying to prove, she just.. needed him. Not in the way she depended on her boyfriend either.

Maybe it was the fact he was her only friend other than Eagle, someone who related to her intellectually.

She cared, but it was a different kind of love.
