Knockturn Alley

"Well, surely Crest wants to kill Raven by now... Perhaps he'll actually decide to act on it soon!"

"Oh if he had the guts for that kind of fun he'd have done it years ago..."

"But I..." He waved his wand subtly behind his back to make the window behind him shatter and the shards shot at him like numerous spears.

Jack is cut by some, but stops others, sending them back at him, along with shattering another window for even more ammo.  "You never know..."

"You know what else I don't know? What would happen if I transfigured blood from a cut into poison? Well no time like the present..." 

He apparated himself next to him and pointed his wand straight into one of his many cuts, smiling from cheek to cheek as his eyes shined in sadistic delight, "Venenum!!"

Jack pushes Crouch back with his mind, choking him, but unfortunately a second AFTER Crouch poisons him.  "I WILL succeed at some point! I won't give up!" Even if it kills me.

"Sadly, I have no more time to spend with you. Feel free to perish at any time!" He apparated away with a evil laughter that strained his very throat.

Jack stands there for a long time, trying to calm himself down, but failing.  His telekinesis starts to just destroy things, not caring when it hurts some innocent passerby.  He's too angry to care.

Eventually, he falls to his knees, the poison working its way through him quickly.  He needs to get to his lab... Make an antidote...

He wandered the dark and twisted alleyways of Knockturn Alley just wasting time. Not making eye contact with anyone as was customary in the dark space.

He looked up briefly and saw someone on the ground. The poor soul. Normally, he would leave them to their own devices, but something called him to approach the man.

Jack is taking deep breaths, then looks up at the one approaching him.  "Is there something I can help you with...?"

"What happened here?"

"Just me failing to kill a certain someone once again..."

"Looks like you got your ass handed to you." He eyed the man on the ground. "Mind if I ask who you were trying to kill?"

"Crouch Junior..."

His eyes widened in recognition.  "Junior? Why?"

Jack raises a brow, "Why ask? Isn't it normal for someone to want to kill that bastard?"

"I suppose.  Most people have a reason for wanting someone dead though."

"Simply to protect my family..."

"I understand," he mumbled. More than I should...


He lent a hand and waited for the man to accept it.

Jack gives him a suspicious eye, his past having taught him not to trust anyone.  "Why do you want to help me?"

He chose his words carefully, this was a make it or break it moment and he did not want it to break. "We have a common enemy. Surely we could help each other out."

Jack is still skeptical. "And what's your motive?"

"To protect myself and what I hold dear. His attacks of late are hitting too close to home. If I can do anything to stop it, I will. But, I need help."

"And how do you want my help?" Jack coughs, the poiso getting to him. He needs to get to his lab...

"Anything could help. Two minds are better than one. We can collaborate." He paused for a short minute. "What ails you? Perhaps I can help."
