Knockturn Alley

She turned her back against the wall starring at the white robbed figure, her wand pulled but she wasn't looking well enough to use it any more, glad that he had at least one of the DE turning toward him instead of her.

In a shift motion, the white robbed man pulls out two wands and sends two green flashes at two of the DE with the same reluctance one would have swatting a fly.

Under his hood was a scowl only found in the deepest pits of rage. A white fury.

She pushed her blue hair back and simply starred in shock for a moment as both fell to the ground. Her jewel like eyes finally looking up at her rescuer "thank you..." her voice was a little timid, but still grateful.

One more appears from around a corner and tries to get in front of me but I use the same curse on him and as he's standing still in front of me, I knock him to the side with my arm without any regard,

"Don't thank me, I was only cleaning up the garbage.."

She took a small step towards him "you more than likely just saved my life.. you deserved at the very least a thank you." after a moment of quiet she couldn't help her curiosity any more "who are you?"

"Don't you think it defeats the purpose of wearing a hood to conceal your identity if I'm just going to give it out like candy?"

She opened her mouth to speak and then closed it again taking another step forward "that would defeat the purpose I suppose, but you did just save me... and I'd like to know the name of the guy who let me live a bit longer."

"Let's leave it at I'm someone who REALLY hates Death Eaters."

He pulls back his hood, revealing a bald boy her age with burn scars that were woven like the surface of a distance world on the left side of his face and dark brown eyes like bottomless pits. His face was set in a permanent scowl, as if even the simple act of drawing breath elicited his rage.

"There, you get to see my face, maybe you'll see me around, maybe you won't."

She didn't gawk or stare at his scars she seemed to be more lost in his eyes, there was so much anger in them it was a bit unsettling "I really hope I do get to see you again..unless you have nothing to do and wouldn't mind walking around with me..." she had no idea what he would say to that.

"Yeah... I guess I'll follow you around, maybe there'll be more trash to clean up."

She grinned brightly "Awesome!" she stepped over one of the Death Eaters letting her foot kick him as she did before standing next to him "I guess I'll tell you my name though.. I'm Sapphire."

"Alright.." I start walking with her.

It was as though a hundred questions flooded her mind all at once, but she kept quiet for a while doing her best not to blurt them out like she wanted to. She just enjoyed the moment of quiet walking with a stranger, it was in an odd way peaceful.

"What were you doing out here anyway? This is no place for schoolgirls!"

It was though she had been holding her breath waiting for him to speak first as she sighed a little happy he had "I'm not just a a school girl... and I was just walking, must have taken a wrong turn. Though this isn't my first time in Knockturn Alley so you know."

I scoff at her, "You could've gotten killed."

She shrugged "maybe I was supposed to be.. maybe you just interfered with fate." she mused out loud.

"Fate was a concept created by people too stupid or weak to accept that they're in control of their lives."

She couldn't help the giggle that slipped from her "are you always this serious?"

"As far as I know... but there's not exactly much room for whimsy in what I do, you know?"

"actually I could see where that would be a bit of a problem.. but everyone has to loosen up sometime. Other wise what fun is life?"

"And waste time with childish stuff?" I scoff, "Not my thing."

She stopped walking her hands on her hips as she looked at him "you look the same age as me.. how can you call having fun childish... it's like you're only half alive if you don't laugh every now and then.."

"I'll tell you what makes me laugh, a dead DE."

She shook her head "that's completely morbid. " she stopped her eyes falling to his burns "Did a Death Eater do that to you?"
