New York City

New York is the most populous city in the United States and the center of the New York Metropolitan Area, one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the world. Like London it holds passage ways to the Wizarding world through various locations.

I arrive alongside Jinx, looking around at the surrounding environment. I really do love New York, and America in general. I always loved to take missions here and experience the sweet taste of Strayer rebellion that was McDonald's Guaranteed-To-Kill-You-In-A-Year foods.

She couldn't help but smile as looked up at the tall buildings every street had a memory it seemed. "I'd almost forgotten how much I loved being here."

"it's a very cool city that's for sure. It feels like back home, except with sunlight. And pollution, and more people."

"Actually, it's nothing like home now that I think of it."

She giggled "well maybe not for you, but this is home for me. Most of my time has been spent here..you also forgot to add the insane crime rate."

"Oh yeah that too!" I laugh, "Alright, so where does a creep like Spike hide out in a place this big?"

She shrugged "Could be anywhere, but there are a few places we could try.."

"I'm all ears, you know the place better."

She grinned "come on" she took his hand and started down the sidewalk "just where ever we go I wouldn't mention your name.. there's a lot of shady people.."

I sigh in disappointment, "fine, I'll use my alias. Gabe Steinhelm."

She smiled "nice. I like it!" she cut down an alley and the turned down a more narrow passage that seemed to lead into pure shadow.

I rub some of my gel into my hair to turn my hair from it's easily identifiable silver to blonde.

"Good idea.. silver hair is kind of a dead give away where we're headed.." as the continued you down the shadows seem to envelope them until she stopped suddenly and pulled her wand. She made an arch with her wand as though where a door should stand saying an old spell quietly. When she was done a street seemed to appear inside of it as though folding itself out in front of them. It was crowded and dimly lit here everyone spoke in hushed tones as illegal sales were made from dingy looking street carts. Building's lined both sides, but most looked boarded up and unused.. at least that's how they were meant to appear.

My eyes widen in amazement, "My god..." I lower my tone, "This is like a criminals heaven."

She grinned "exactly.. it's very hard to get here.. you have to have connections in the lowest of places.." she stepped through the arch a shiver going down her spine "you can never tell anyone about this.. it could get us both killed almost instantly."

I snap my fingers, "dammit... oh well... I promise." I follow her through and get a chill as well but I don't let it show on my face.

She smiled a little "thanks.. it just would suck to have this whole underground after our skins.. she spoke quietly not wanting to be over heard as they made their way past a few of the run down carts. She stopped at a tall black building that was boarded up she stopped at the door which was the only thing not boarded up and knocked three times sharply but quiet and then four more times, her hand had barely pulled away before the door creaked open slightly making her grin "perfect.. I'm still welcome here.. maybe we can find something out.."

"Okay, I'll let you do the talking. I'll be available for back-up and what not."

She led him inside taking great care to make sure the door shut quickly. As soon as it snapped shut the whole place seemed to come alive, people moved between room laughing and shouting at each other and a pulsing beat could be heard up stairs which is where Jinx headed. "it's alright.. we're about to see a good friend of mine.. she's brilliant."

I stat nodding my head in approval, "You know, this place isn't too bad."

"Okay, what can you tell me about her?"

she grinned "her name is Scarlet.. Lets just say she's an old soul in a very young body." She headed up the winding stairs leading him toward a large glass door. The music was louder on the landing vibrating the whole floor, flashing coloured lights could been seen through the glass she looked at him "its about to get very loud and very crowded, but we have to go through here to get to her."

"Lead on, Miss J." I hold the door open.

She smirked as music blasted through the door in great volume making it almost impossible to hear a normal conversation. The crowd inside was rowdy dancing and yelling just a complete party. Most of the people looked in their teens as she led him into the crowd.

Wow, this sort of thing you'd never see back home. But despite this, I have been to more parties than both my brothers. And damn they all looked like slumber parties next to this one. This was the place to be.
