Ivor walked listlessly down the street, his eyes staring at nothing. Focus, the voice reminded him faintly, half heartedly. Lewes... the panic had died down now and the people returned to normal. He had a job tonight.
But winter was gone, and so was Navy... he'd never felt more alone. The feeling wrenched at his heart, his hand moved toward it instinctively... and realised where he was.
In front of the place they had stayed that night. He froze, eyes wide. He could almost see the scene playing in front him. He moved towards the door, opening it with a creak. It hadn't been touched since they'd been there, that was obvious. The shadowy figures replayed it all in front of his eyes. Navy begging him to let her heal him. Him taking the strand of her. Kissing her before he left.
He slammed his fist into the wall. Why do you keep reminding me of all of this? Why am I here? The anger and loss rushed through his blood. He felt sick. Whenever he closed his eyes, he couldn't almost hear her voice whispering amongst the trees... rising from the ground.
