Some Random Town Somewhere

Just somewhere random for my new character to burn up! 

Gerard had been walking through this random town, just wandering the world as he does.  Unfortunately, some thugs decided to try and rob him, having dismissed his intimidating appearance.  

"Give us your money!" The leader of the gang shouts.  Gerard tries to hold in his irritation, trying his very hardest to stay calm.  But, as he feared, he exploded.  His red eyes glow bright and his hands catch fire, burning the men off of him.  

And blah blah blah, the town catches fire.

Artemis was now on a double shift, trying to make up the impressive amount of slack that needed to be filled with Crest gone. Steven was more diligent then Artemis had even known.

When news came of a fire burning away at a town, he took immediate action and went there himself, looking for the culprit...

OOC Gee, looks like banishing your best asset wasn't such a bright move there Artie...

Gerard is taking deep breaths, trying to calm down.  He can create fire.  But controlling that fire is an entire different story.  He can't extinguish it... He needs help...

At last he finds a man in punk attire and it looked like he was responsible for all of this, "Hey you!" He calls out to him, perhaps he could be reasoned with...

"Stay away!" Gerard shouts.  "I don't want to hurt you!" His palms are still on fire.  Not as great as a few minutes before, but can still do a great amount of damage.

Artemis shows his hands in a surrender pose and slowly approaches him. It seems like a case of a lost control, nothing malicious.

"It's alright, I think I can help you, but you have to let me..." His voice was smooth, yet regal like the champion of righteousness he was.

Artemis approaching him has greatly confused him.  Everyone always stays away.  No one has ever been brave enough to actually approach him like this. "No one ever helps! It's just safer to stay away!"

"I might be able to. Please let me have a chance. I get the feeling you don't want to hurt anyone..."

"I don't!!" But I always do.... 

He was soon close enough to him to put his hand on his shoulder, "If I help you, you may be able to control it. I have a friend who had a power he couldn't control either, he may be able to help you out..."

"Really?"  Gerard takes a deep breath, calming down a little bit more.

"Yes, just calm down, help me extinguish the flames and we'll see what we can do for you..."

"I can only create flames..." He's calmed down now, but the fire still stands.

"Can you do standard magic?"

"No..."

"Okay," That slightly complicates things...

"Try to help as many people as possible while I take care of the flames okay?" He pointed his wand at the flames, "Aquamenti!!" A jet of water starts to spray on the flames.

Gerards eyes widen at the magic.  He goes to try and help people, but they run away from him, making him sigh.

He sprays house after house, building after building to kill the inferno blazing through the town. His heart reached out to everyone who had lost a home and all their possessions and he resolved to make things right in this town as well as help Gerard in any way possible. No one deserved to be viewed as a monster simply for something they can't control...

Gerard stares at the ground, taking deep breaths, doing absolutely nothing so he doesn't destroy anything else...

By the end, the town was in a state of disrepair but far from unsalvageable. Artemis got thanked by the many people he'd helped that day however no kind words were given to Gerard.

But Artemis walked over to him, "The only reason all this happened was a horrible accident!" He explained to the crowd, "Please do not hate him for something he could not control!"

"Don't bother... Let's just go..." Gerard stands and walks away.

OOC Is this town full of muggles or...?

OOC Probably, idk.

"Wait one moment..." Artemis told him as he went around, using a memory spell on everyone who had seen what transpired. The secrecy of the wizarding world still had to be preserved and now the secret was safe once again.

"Alright I'm ready..."
