0 doesn't have an opposite SOME THINGS DONT HAVE OPPOSITES OKAY. especially the colour grey
ic 'But you don't need to do that now. You've got my respect by just treating me like any other human being.'

| OOC But you forgot, all those things you mentioned purgatory, the letter V are HUMAN made concepts. Everything that occurs naturally does.
IC
"You maybe, but who else?"
OOC IDK why but for some reason this reminds me of when Zuko is confronting Ozai

| i remember that scene c: but the idea of opposites is also a human concept especially the idea of yin and yang ic 'Anyone else you treat with respect will feel the same, i garuntee it. All people want is to be understood..' | |

OOC Incorrect. Opposites are naturally occuring. Fire/water, Metal/rust, wood/termites. Every force of creation has a force of destruction with the exception of matter itself.

| you're missing a piece
Preservation. There is the creation of an object, the destruction of an object but in between there must be the maintenance/preservation. If there is preservation, there must be a middle ground between opposites, therefore something musn't have an opposite.
and that kids, is the Hindu Trimurti.
MY BRAIN.

Is it preservation or just good construction?

| it's vishnu, the third part of the Trimurti. Something actually has to BE there for it to be destroyed/created
but once again, the idea of creation/destruction is hindu, a human concept. Opposite is a human idea.
and give me a moment, this convo is hurting my brain so much i have honestly no idea how to respond ic

| i think what mer's trying to say is that in nature, there are no true opposites per se. The idea of something being opposite is in our own minds.
ie dark is the opposite of light. But dark is just the absence of light. In nature, what we see as 'opposites' are really just absences of things. There is a fire because there is an absence of water to put it out
there we go?

| that's what i meant actually o.o
and of course creation/preservation/destruction. the key to life blah blah blah
at the end of the day, grey still doesnt have an opposite. Neither does 0. this is too much for my tiny brain to process.
