Kyuuden Palace

Bara steps inside her palace, leading Ovauzhar in.  She looks to her guards, saying this out loud, "This man is not to be fed from or attacked.  Tell the rest of the staff."  The guards nod, walking off.  She leads him to a living room of sorts, with fancy coffin-couches and etc.  The palace as a whole is very dark, dim-lighted candles the only source of light.  She sits, gesturing to the seat across from her for him to sit.

"I prefer standing if it's all the same to you..." He told her as he wandered around the room, "I prefer to pace when I talk, it helps me gather my thoughts..." He explained politely.

'Gather my thoughts of escape routes if this does go south...'

"Very well..." She telepathically calls for her butler, and eventually he comes back with a glass of blood for her.  After taking a sip, she starts to explain...

"This opportunity is one like no other.  And you and I seem to understand each other very well..." From a power-hungry point of view. "... You want vengeance on whatever man and to rule over your kingdom.  I want to... How should I put it... Rule over more than I already have.  If you work with me, you get control over a vampire army and your vengeance.  I get what I desire.  It benefits us both."

"You would just hand control of your forces over to me?"

"You'd have to clear things with me before any big decisions, of course, but I do love violence and bloodshed." She smirks, then takes another sip of blood.

"I admit... I do as well. And your offer is quite tempting."

He thought long and hard for several minutes, "However I don't know if I can accept yet."

She raises a curious brow.  "Why wouldn't you be able to accept?"

"It is as I told you before. My war is not with Diarmid. Just the one man."

"If I took your offer and conquered it, I would not be remembered as a hero who rose above trying circumstances. I would just be seen as a man who relied on others and enslaved them again..."

"How were you planning to get revenge on this one man, then?"

"I am gaining the powers of other lands first, so when I gave him again I can prove my superiority..."

She raises a brow, "Well I can assure you that mine would be the most superior to the others... Being the general of an army of vampires would prove plenty of superiority."

"Any man can lead an army, but only the worthy ones are those who get power alone..."

She smirks, "Yet you want to gain power from each of the realms... That sounds like help to me."

I would learn the powers by myself.."

"And teaching is a way of helping, is it not?"

"Who said anything about teaching?" He looked at her knowingly. "In Diarmid, if you want something you get it yourself."

She chuckles, "Your people love to make everything harder for themselves."

He scoffs, "Fool. It is only in personal struggle that you get stronger. Do you think our ancestors had help in the wastelands as they starved and dehydrated?"

"Perhaps not... But personal struggle can still be personal even with the help of another.  Especially if they're psychological disorders."

"I fear one with no appreciation for these simple truths is no sovereign of mine. I appreciate the offer but I will not serve against my realm." He turned around to begin making his way out. His hand clasped on the hilt of his sword in case she tried to prevent his departure.

She lets him go, not wanting to fight him.  There's always a possibility that he could come back.  Anything's possible, after all.
