Crouch Mansion

NOW do you see what I've had to live with?

-Inside find a various assortment of toys and furniture all covered with dust. I walk over and pick up the broom that River rode on that day-

I feel my eyes fill with tears, watching my brother find things that we remember. i blink the back, annoyed with myself.
I force myself to grin. 'At least i can ride better than i could back then.'

-Goes over and comforts River- You alright? Are you remembering anything?

i shake my head. 'No. Its just that...would would this place look like if i had stayed? look at how empty it is...all the unused toys...'
i look around, and then remember something.

Memory-
I woke up to the sound of the door opening, as Barty came running in, looking worried, but with an angry glint in his eye, that even at six, scared me.
‘River, I’ve just heard our parents talking.’ He said, sitting down next to my bed.
‘About what?’
‘I don’t understand. They were talking about a squib. Getting rid of one, I think.’
I looked down, sadly. ‘They would have been talking about me, Barty. I don’t have magic. I’m nothing more than a muggle.’
‘Don’t say that!’ he said fiercely. ‘You’re my sister. A Crouch. Your magic…it just hasn’t appeared yet.’
‘Barty, look at me then look at you. I can’t even change something’s colour. You were doing that year ago.’
‘Try. Please. For me? Just try doing this.’ His eyes flickered to a book, and I watched as it moved across the room. ‘Try it.’ He encouraged.
I tried. I stared at the book, concentrating, willing it to move. Nothing happened.
‘See Barty. I’m rubbish.’ I lay down, my back towards him. Quietly, my voice muffled by the pillow, I said ‘Maybe it would be better if I wasn’t here.’
I heard him stand up, and walk round the other side of the bed. Kneeling down, he looked at me. ‘No. If they do anything to you, I will never forgive them. Do you think I care that you have no magic?’ he grinned. ‘I have enough for both of us! You’re my sister, and nothing will change that.’ He got up, and walked out, quietly shutting the door behind him.

What did you remember ?

i look up at him, my face tear stained. 'We knew. You heard them speaking about me. And you said, you said you wouldnt forgive them. it is my fault. all of this.'

-hugs River- no don't blame yourselves! Our father did this and HE is the one who tore this family apart, him and him alone!

'you cant remember yet..but i said this to you, and i will say it again now. He may be the one who did this...But it is still my fault. It might have been better if i had never been born. then you wouldnt hate our parents...and none of this would have happened.'

STOP! Just... Stop. I always loathed them, they never treated me with any regard! Hell if you weren't born I may have turned out worse!

i shake my head, but dont reply, knowing that anything i said would just make us both fell worse.
i walk away from him, to the other side of the room, looking at the dusty walls, but not looking at him.

-hears footsteps echoing through the halls-

-eyes fill with rage- Him.... -pulls out wand-

I turn quickly, getting out my own wand. in the back of my mind, the promice i made to Dumbledore appears, reminding me that i said we would not kill our father, but i ignore it, knowing that both crouch and i are to angey to care.

Ooc Hey how about this I can RP as Crouch Sr and your can RP as the Mother!

-as Crouch Senior- -walks in through hole in the wall- What the devil happened in he... -eyes widen at the sight of Crouch Junior and River- Bartemis... What is the meaning of this?!

'Barty, whats going on?' I step thought the hole, seeing my son and daughter back together. 'River...my child. How is this possible?'

-scoffs, apathetic expression- So you remember my name now? Could have said it a few more times to me!

My eyes narrow, looking at our parents. 'You. You...you ask the meaning? you want to know? You were the ones who did this! you...' i trail off, Not having the words to say what i want to him.

-eyes widen- No, can't be true I sent you away! How are you back?!

-small grin- Well father... It seems your little memory spell didn't completely do its job... I was able to break it for both of us!

I grin. 'Yes, Father. Me, your little squibof a daughter is back. You cant be that good at magic, since we broke through your charm.'

-Backing up- Now I swear I can explain all of this! Just please let me!

I watch my children fight back against their father, and deep down, i want to join in. I never wanted this all to happen.
'River. I always knew you were...you werent what he said you were. You and your brother...its so nice to see you both again.'
