The Great Hall

'Then we can fight crime and defeat bad guys together!' he spoke in a cheesy voice, smiling to himself.

"Of course," he spoke as if that was what they were meant to do in life, their true calling. "Well be so badass that our names will be legend." He laughed at his own cheesiness.

'I don't know about you, but a lot of people already see me as a legend.' He added with a cocky wink.

"Everyone knows who the great Bryn Desouza is. You're the only one who had the balls to go head to head with Crouch several times and lived to tell the tale. Of course you're a legend already."

'I was joking, but never mind. I'm just a guy who wants to protect the people he cares about.' He didn't see himself as a legend at all.

"And in doing so you sort of became a legend. I knew you were joking though."

'I hope the status doesn't get me killed though.' He reached for Teddy's hand and twined their fingers together. 'You're my priority now.'

He smiled broadly. "Same goes for you. You really think we can make this work a second time?"

'I don't see why not, as long as you'd be willing to give me that second chance.' He swore to himself that he'd do his best to uphold their relationship.

"You have a second chance. Don't screw it up this time." He didn't try and make it sound threatening, but he meant it. He didn't know if he could handle another break up.

He grinned widely, leaning over to give Teddy a chaste kiss. 'Thank you.'

He peered down at what Teddy had been doing before he interrupted. 'Whatcha making?'

"I'm fixing a toy soldier. He's supposed to raise and lower his sword when you crank the wheel on his back but for some reason he isn't moving. It's impossible to work with these little gears." He motioned to the mess before him. "I'm close to using magic to fix it, but you know how I don't like to do that."

'Anything I can do to help?' He watched with curiousity, wondering how Teddy had the patience to deal with repairing things.

"I need a really good magnifying glass and a bucket-load of patience." He sighed and began pushing the scattered gears around the table.

'Maybe I can help you with the patience part? I've grown not to get frustrated at too many things.' He picked up one of the gears, inspecting it closely. 'Practice makes perfect.'

"Okay, help me with the patience, I can handle the rest." He conjured up a magnifying glass and picked up his tools and began to work again.

He rubbed small circles into Teddy's back, starting a mini massage and remaining silent for now.

After a few minutes of struggling he sighed. "Stupid toy, stupid gears. How the hell did they make these things way back then? I'd go nuts sitting in a chair and struggling with these...stupid...gears!"

'Come on, you know you can do this.' He encouraged, still rubbing circles into Teddy's back. 'You'll work it out.'

He picked up his wand and waved it over the gears. The put themselves back into place inside the toy and he smiled. "There. Problem solved."

'Thats cheating.' He stick his tongue out at Teddy.

"Yeah, but it's fixed." He pointed to the fixed toy.

'Fine, I'll keep your secret. Next time I expect you to do it without magic though. Don't make me confiscate your wand.' He winked at the other boy.

"You wouldn't take my wand from me. Anyway, this was a one time thing." He picked up the toy and wound up the wheel on the back. The soldier slowly raised and lowered the sword in response.

'You sure I wouldn't? He raised a brow, half challenging Teddy to say otherwise. 'I can be bad when I want to be.'
