"You find ways to amuse yourself..." I smirk.

she smirked "I seem to keep myself amused.. it's not too hard."

"By doing what?"

"anything that pops into my head really... it varies a lot."

An idea springs to mind, "You know, a day at school here can get rather dull. How about we go enjoy ourselves?"

She grinned "so long as I don't have ta kill anyone I'm game."

"Oh goodness no!" He looked appalled at the very notion, though cursed himself for her guessing his plans. "where would you get that idea?"

"don't take me to be that naive .. I know some of the rumours are true or have truth to them."

"Yes I suppose that after so long, misinformation or fearful propaganda starts to form."

Emerald gaze studied him closely and quietly for a moment "so what do you have in mind for fun?"

"Nothing nefarious, just enjoying a nice night on the town..."

She smirked "then what are we waiting around here for?"

"Great question! Let's go!" He started to walk out, offering his arm like a gentlemen.

She slipped her arm through his a little tentative, but more curious than anything .

It's not difficult to get into a person's thoughts... but to truly control them, they must first have their expectations destroyed.

With that we walk out.

The kitsune stood outside the entrance to the school, whistling an jaunty tune almost sinisterly as he peered around. He had taken a deliberate leave, deciding to tackle his affairs one at a time..

about time i returned here..

clasping his hands behind his head, he took a moment to gather his thoughts.

"hey!" Crouch chuckled excitedly as he approached his kitsune friend, "Look at you! You look great! Lost a little weight I see.." He nudged his stomach jokingly.

The fox spirit bit back his laughter, shaking his head almost excitedly. 'It's great to be back and to make mayhem again, my friend.' he grinned in response, slapping Crouch on the back.

'How's it going?'

"Oh you know... chaos, mayhem and disasters... so you know, very good! Where have you been?"

'Setting the stage for a catastrophe of my own...' he answered secretively, placing his hands behind his back with a sinister smile. 'I'll be drawing the curtains soon.'

He wrapped his hands together and shook excitedly, "Oh please! Tell me what you've got in mind my friend!"

A chortle escaped the kitsune, craning his head from side to side. 'No can do, it'd spoil the surprise.'

"Oh I love surprise parties! I'll bring the streamers and the pinhata!"

The School is nothing like she remembered.

The very stone that had given her lifeblood and joy only years before
was changed, shifted and warped by the great war.
Many lost their lives.

And the girl G R I E V E D that she could not, did not save them.

She'd not taken part of it. She'd stayed as far away from her once-home of a school as her dark-mark burned on her forearm and then numbed as if it were a mere tattoo.
And now she returned, after all of it, with strength in her chest and dark eyes set upon the hall before her.

A masked man stood just behind her, wolves flanking him in loyal honor.
Jean Descole had brought her here; he'd escorted the little shape-shifter who only believed in redeeming love to Hogwarts.
And now she stood among what once was her salvation,
and reveled in the beauty of what it had become.


She'd have to visit the headmasters and wish them congrats for the victory.
She should see her friends.
Friends.... if there were any left.


And so like a sore thumb she stood out, alone in the hall besides for the protector, the Auror, behind her.
And she waited and wondered, and welcomed herself H O M E.
