"Of course we all do. In my eyes we're the same, not that I always thought so..." I used to be a very bad kid at one point.

'But do we all have powers? Do we share the same DNA?' she spat back, eyes narrowing slightly with irritation. 'Of course we don't, we're different. Idiot.'

"No need for unpleasantries. I'm not here to fight..."

'Well i ain't leaving Magneto.' she responded with finality, crossing her arms and resisting the urge to just teleport away from him. 'You're wasting your time.'

I close my eyes for a few seconds, "yes, it seems I am... it's a shame."

she took a tiny step to the side, piercing gaze set on his movements. 'what sort of messed up voodoo are ya doin?'

"No voodoo... just foresight."

'Great, you can see my every move.' she muttered, frowning at the immediate disadvantage.

"No, that isn't ENTIRELY true."

'Its either the truth or it isn't. Being tenuous only gets you shot in the head.' her tone was sharp and ruthless, deciding not to skirt around the issue.

"True I can see the future, but only when I concentrate enough. I can't just have an instant play-by-play."

'but surely if you could see the future, you'd know the perfect time to concentrate so it wouldn't be a problem.' she pointed out, considering it carefully.

Ooc seeing the future solves everything

"Perhaps, but I can tell you I'm a bit impulsive. Comes from the older days..."

'What, baldy hasn't whacked out your supposed flaws yet?' she snorted with disbelief. 'not quite in his image yet?'

"Show him a little more respect! He's a great man, could even turn a screw-up kid like I was into someone good." If there was one thing I couldn't stand, it was someone badmouthing the professor.

she didn't seem affected by his outburst. in fact, she was glad she'd found a chink in his facade.
'but don't you see? there was nothing wrong with you in the first place. Who is he to tell you that your personality, who you are, is incorrect or flawed in some way?'

why are you so eager to conform?

"There was plenty wrong with me. I thought my powers gave me license to do whatever I wanted... and I exploited the hell out of them."

"But then... I saw just how wrong it all was..."

she raised a hand, not wanting to hear anymore. Pushing herself away from the wall, she sighed slowly.

'you're brainwashed. There's nothing wrong with who you are.' she insisted, almost desperately.

'stop trying to be a sheep when you're always going to be a goat Christian, we're different.'

"About how strong's your loyalty to Magneto?"

'I think for myself.' she answered carefully. unlike some, she didn't just take the party line and mindlessly follow it. Of course, she was still loyal to Magneto but she held her own views.

'is it relevant?'

"Yeah, I was curious if you ever knew how to be loyal to people..."

"Guess not."

the girl tensed immediately, grounding her feet, lips twisting into a snarl. There was nothing sweet about her at all now, fingers curling into tight fists.

'Don't you goddamn DARE question my loyalty. Just because we're both mutants doesn't mean you know shit about me! Go fuck yourself before I give baldy's wheelchair club a new member!'

Poised already, she was seething, itching for blood.

I close my eyes for a few seconds, concentrating before reopening them. "There's no outcome that results in either of us accomplishing anything productive to either side."

"Let's both leave and spare us some trouble."
