Enzo Fortress

There was silence from the Cultist, as he slowly straightened.
An almost thankful glance turned to Topher, then turned back to a blank, serious look.

Young Master Topher was kind. Perhaps he was right. Maybe Enzo was fully wrong in his thoughts..?

"A fine question that you pose. You see the eyes that you and I and Erik here posses? It is more than a set of eyes, it's a show of nature taking a jump forward! And as such, we are the betters of all beings, are we not?"

Erik took this as his own sort of cue. Though he knew he was not nearly as good as Enzo, or Topher. He was one of the weaker of the kind, here.

He gave a bow, and nodded in hesitant agreement.
"For the power of the superior," He agreed.

"Sorry to burst ya bubble pops, but ya got beaten, and I've been beaten before too. We're not better than anyone."

"-Topher....."

Erik looked to Topher, now, scowling.
"Please do not say such things, To- ... Young Master. It would be best you learned that the stronger we become, the less loss we face."

He gave a hesitant bow to the boy. He did not like to say such things, not when doubts were placed in his own head.

"Thank you Erik. Your devotion is most admirable."

"... Sir..."

Erik's voice wavered slightly, keeping bent in submission to the two for a moment longer before he straightened and looked slightly to Enzo.

"You meant to speak to me, Master Boniface?"

"Yes, I wished to honor thou with a training session with me."

"A- training session with you, sir?"

Erik's eyes widened considerably, and he fought to keep his voice strong.
He gave another, swift bow, heart quickening it's pace.

"I would be most honoured, sir...!"

"Enjoy your stay for now Christopher Noir of One Point, although it seems the second one is budding."

I lead Erik on into a special room, made of the same crystal as the rest of the palace.

Erik followed quietly.
He felt like there was so much on his mind right now....
So much to do... To see. And the outside world, was there anything out there for him now?
It was a strange feeling, to think that someday, if he escaped, he might even find someone special and start a family.

What an odd thought...
Perhaps Topher was right. Maybe there was more than this?

The man paused, once inside the room. The crystal was nothing new, but there was a feeling of half dread at 'training' with Enzo. What would this hold for him...?

"What do you think of my grandson firstly?"

Erik frowned and thought for a moment.

"Top-.... Young Master Christopher is a very kind boy. Though he's one for the open air, I can tell... I like him, as a leader. He would be very just."

"Just... I see... but is he ready to take our mantle?"

It took Erik a hesitant moment of thought before shaking his head.

"Perhaps not now, sir. He is unsure of your motives..."

"I shall inform him, but this meeting is about thou."

"I wish to see how your progress has been. As you know our conquest shall be commencing again and I need all ready for it."

An almost worried look crossed over Erik's face, though he covered it with that of concentration and seriousness.

"Yes, Master Enzo, Sir."

He replied, bowing, slightly.
God, he felt sick to his stomach, though. He was not the strongest of the cult. And if Boniface did not see him worthy? What would happen, then?

I take out three daggers from my robes and point to a target, "I shall throw these at the target, Thou shalt cast bad luck upon them and make them misdirect themselves."

"Art thou ready?"

The cultist gave a half-hearted nod, preparing himself.
It wasn't anything dangerous, but all the same. It took work to even learn to direct bad luck in such a way.

"I am ready. Master Enzo.."

I throw the knifes with a strength one wouldn't expect from a decrepit-looking fossil such as me.

(( -claps slowly- decrepit fossil. ))

Erik quickly focussed on the knives, forcing himself to concentrate and aim as much bad luck at them as he could. Though he was sure at least one would divert from the target.

OOC Hmm... I'll take a different approach from my standard baddies of the week...

Two of the knifes fall out of place while one connects with the target. I look toward the boy and feel a twinge of pity within me. Perhaps nature does take longer to develop in some than others. And he was one of min own.

Perhaps there were less worthy here who don't share his devotion, "Decent work, Erik."

Erik felt himself relax greatly with the fact that two had been knocked away.
He took in a deep breath, to calm his nervousness.

".... Thank you, Master Enzo."

"Hath thou been practicing long?"
