The Great Hall

OOC This was getting boring so I brought someone in.

IC Charlie nodded. "You're going through a tough time. It's understandable."

Tide walked into the Great Hall and tugged on his sleeves subconsciously again. He spotted Mer talking to some Hufflepuff guy. Jealousy filled him to the brim as he walked by.

Charlie grabbed a napkin and wiped away some of the tears that were sliding down Mer's face. "You'll get through this. God doesn't put people through things that He knows they can't handle."

Jealousy filled Tide up and he shot Charlie a nasty look.

Charlie saw Tide and said, "Um, Mer, there's this blonde guy right now, shooting me a real nasty look. Do you have a boyfriend or something that I should know about?" He did not want to start a fight for not knowing that Mer was taken. Not that he liked her like that, he just didn't like clearing up misunderstandings.

"Oh, he's a Death Eater now. Is he bothering you?" Charlie asked. He didn't want Mer to feel uncomfortable.

Tide watched the pair warily. How he wanted to be in the Hufflepuff's position right then.

OOC wow, i forgot just how emotional Mer can be....

IC Charlie patted (?) her back comfortingly. "I don't think you'll break down at any moment. You seem to be pretty strong. You've made it through hell, I can tell." (lol rhyme)

Tide tensed as he saw Charlie touching Mer.

she isn't emotional, she's just tired. Considering her siblings are dead, i dont blame her for being upset.

'I'm simply exhausted from everyone thinking I'm fragile, I'm not like that anymore, I've had to change.' Mer felt like she could sleep for a year, but she had to carry on, life continued with or without her.

"Well show them that you're stronger than you appear."

Tide smiled to himself when he saw Mer glance back in his direction.

Charlie looked back at Tide briefly then back at Mer. "If you don't mind my asking, what happened between you two?"

"Do you still love him?" Charlie asked.

"From the soun of it, this isn't your fault. It's his. He toyed with you."

OOC god Tide, you're such a player. -.-

Tide hated the look that Mer shot him. It made him feel like she hated him. Why, he didn't know.

Charlie smiled sadly. "You deserve better than that."

OOC I hate how Tide has turned out to be a bad boy. I originally wanted him to be my good guy, but that ain't gonna happen. Are all my characters gonna turn out bad?

'I know I do. I don't think he's figured out that he hurt me, that's... despairing.' she admitted, exhaling.

OOC Tide's clueless at times. Especially when it comes to girls and their emotions. Yes, but Teddy's going down a dark road too. Granted he'll never join the DE but he's doing some things that aren't technically legal.

IC Charlie sighed. "Hope you find someone better than him."

Tide hated the distance between him and Mer. He wished things could go back to being the way they were before the break up.

OOC OMG. Linkin Park just came on the radio and it's "What I've Done". Coincedence? I think not.

'I'm hoping I do too...' she couldn't bring herself to raise her voice, to shout and be angry. 'I'm sorry, I'm bringing you into my problems aren't i? he's going to assume we're together..'

He shrugged. "Let him. Maybe that'll get him off your back for a while."

"No," he shook his head and put a comforting arm around her shoulder and hugged her briefly. "I'm here to help you. I want to help you."
