The Great Hall

"From my understanding, and bare in mind I only learned of this yesterday, River is.... gone somehow. She still exist physically but her mind or soul has just... vanished."

The world seemed to fall out from under his feet. His life came crashing to a halt. All that he cared about was getting River back, somehow. "So, she's comatose?" he barely choked out from unmoving lips.

"In essence yes... but I would consult Krystal, she's the real expert in this."

I notice the devastation that seemed to surround him, "We're doing all we can to help her."

He nodded. "I thank you for your concern Matthew. I will go to the library sometime soon and search for a cure after I talk with Krystal." He bowed to Matthew and sat down, burying his head in his hands.

I sit next to him and pat his back comfortingly, "If theres anything I can do to help you, let me know."

OOC Me: "Okay, wax my car..."

He sighed and looked up at Matthew. "Pray for a miracle from that God of yours." He was desperate, even resulting to prayer to a god he didn't believe in.

"I already have, and have been doing so all morning." I smile at him and offer him one of the many crosses on my neck, "Here... maybe it's time for you to try..."

Ic He refrained from scowling as he took the cross. "Religion isn't really my forté, but thank you." He held the cross in his hand and felt a little better.

"Know you any prayers? I could teach you some. Faith is the second most powerful force on earth."

Ic He shook his head. "I don't know anything but the basis of religion."

"Would you like me to teach you? I can only do this if you're willing."

He hesitated. "I don't know. Believing in something that I can't see or touch is hard. I've always believed in the facts of life." He shook his head. "You religious people amaze me. The fact that you believe so whole-heartedly in something that there is no physical evidence of just astounds me."

He shrugged. "Okay. I still don't know if it's my thing." He sighed. "Sure, you can teach me a prayer." He clutched the cross in his fist.

"Okay, this one is called the Lord's Prayer"
(Ah the internet, making the job of playing religious people easier for agnostic people since it's inception.)

"And it's not only limited to that, you can do your own prayers, just begin with addressing God and then say what's in your heart and end with Amen."

Ooc CAPS, Confirm God is Lord, Ask for forgiveness, Praise Him, Special Requests. That's how I was taught to pray.

Ic He nodded. "It's funny, I rejected religion because I thought it too much a hassle. You make it sound simple."
