I turn to look at her passively. While I'd prefer to avoid it, sometimes deception is best for the greater good.

"All just fake... Tsar Lunar, the destruction of the shooting stars and their pilots... all fake. 'Course, you've got all the sense to know that.... I don't know if you need to know this or not, but there is a part later in the book that explains about how Pitch once had a daughter."

She frowned and shook her head.
"It's really quite sad. Whoever thought of those legends.... hm."

"Allow me to see this part."

So Crest took interest in all of this?

Cynder scowled but nodded and quickly moved to grab one of the smaller books. Again, written by Ombric Shalazar with the addition of a girl named Katherine.

She opened the book to a spot she had marked with a sticky note and read aloud.

"General Kozmotis Pitchiner, the hero of the Golden ages, was known to have a daughter named Seraphina Pitchiner. His wife died of an unknown illness when their daughter was an infant, leaving her in her father's sole care.
It was well known among the stars that he loved her deeply, and held a locket on his being at all times. However, after being called to the great war, he had to leave her in the care of nannies and star watchers.
After trapping the fearlings and Nightmare Men away, General Kozmotis rose to the challenge of protecting the prison they were trapped in. However, after years of this, his mental strength gave way, and when the fearlings at last imitated his daughter trapped with the shadows, he opened the doors to help her out.
The dark creatures engulfed him, turning him into the monster he is now."

She showed him the picture of a black haired girl, who looked quite innocent and sweet. A picture abou the size to fit in a locket.
"And that's what this one says.."

This is excellent intel, unlikely intel but information is found in the oddest of ways.

Perhaps reuniting him with the daughter can subdue the threat completely.

Looking at it quietly, she shook her head with a sigh.

"According to this, though, that was ages ago. Poor man... if this story was true, she must have died years ago.."

Closing the book, she eyed Crest with concern.
"I don't know why you're so interested in this... but thanks for visiting, Crest. I hope you stay in good health. Tell me if you need anything else."

Dead end on that front.

At least I know how to overpower him.


"Do you... believe?'

Cynder blinked, looking over her shoulder.

"Believe..? In these...? I would like to. I feel bad for the General. He did not mean to become what he was... but all the same.."

She sighed and shook her head.
"It's... just myth... right...?"

"Do you scare easy?"

"easily...?"

Cynder glanced away and frowned.

"Under certain things, I can.... you're not saying he exists..?"

"No. I think Pitch is a mere metaphor." If she felt fear odds are he would be drawn to her. I can't have him gaining any more footholds.

Aqua sat perched on one of the window sills over looking the grounds, every now and then she would flick her wand sending snowballs flying at students scattered randomly about below her.

Panic couldn't break out. Pitch was the enemy and he needed to be stopped. Perhaps there was a book in here with spells that could bolster bravery. That would give me a dramatic edge in our next confrontation.

She hopped of the window ledge, boredness over coming her, she decided to go in search of good book. Her light green eyes checking Crest out as she brushed past him smirking a little, she whipped around deciding why not "you know.. you look familiar have I seen you somewhere before?" she knew she hadn't but figured it was a good way to strike up a conversation.

I don't even address her presence as I continue looking through the books. Her words turned to a phantom whisper in the wind.

If there was one thing she hated it was being ignored, she shrugged as though indifferent reached up above him as though to grab a book letting it slip from her fingers hitting him slightly, but not hard as it fell.

the second the book disturbed a hair on my head, my hand shot up and grabbed it before it completely connected with my head. I turn to look at her.

She smiled a little awkwardly though is was more acting than anything, but she was a pro "shite! I am so sorry.. it just slipped"

I hand the book back out to her, remain as expressive as a gargoyle.

"thanks...again I'm really sorry.. though your reflex's are pretty incredible..." she took the book her eyes never leaving him "so what brings you to the haven of literature?"




ooc xD I think Crest would actually loosen up if he became friends with some one like Aqua

OOC He does loosen up, but he has major trust issues and paranoia. He doesn't even trust his brothers wholeheartedly.
