Student records are so... informative. Donia hid her sneer behind rolls of parchment, taking particular interest in the ones associated to the Strayer family.

The Flames are related to the Strayers too? This family is larger than I thought. she continued her research, taking an interest in the histories behind the various students at Hogwarts today.

She continued turning the scrolls over with gloved fingers, planning. She needed an easy way to make friends, and she was deciding the best route to go.

Step, thunk. Step, thunk. Step, thunk. Having my new walking stick is oddly reassuring. Maybe because Phoenix gave it to me, probably because I can now get around the school again.

I'm still amazed by the beauty of the patterns on the walking stick. Phoenix must have spent ages carving the wolf and the cat into it. The detail is amazing.
