The Library

Seriously what the hell? How was Axel not affected by my eyes? That doesn't seem possible.

Book after book mounted as I try to search for a possible answer.

Sapphire wondered into the library quietly, she was confused as to why she had been feeling better ever since Chimmy had brought her back. Hogwarts had seem to bring life back to her again and she had no idea why. As she roamed between the shelves she spotted Topher behind a stack of books. She smiled as she approached him "hey Toph, been a while."

"Oh hey Saph! How's life?" I look up genuinely and pleasantly surprised to see her. Good, now the girl's dorms don't gotta lock their doors at night.

"pretty good, actually better than that I'm great!" She perched on the edge of the table picking up one of the books and skimming through the pages " so what are you researching?"

"Well today, this guy named Axel somehow wasn't affected by my eyes, I was wondering if there was a reason behind it. He was actually Chimmy's mentor."

"hmm..that's rather odd..Chimmy doesn't know why he wasn't effected?"

"Not that I know of... haven't talked with 'im much. Have ya?"

She shook her head "not today. I'm sure he's around some where though..besides smart guy like you should be able to find some reason.. Like maybe he has a similar power that negates yours."

"Yeah I guess it's possible..." I shrug, I don't really count myself as smart but why not?

"What about ya? Where have you been?"

"I've been with the Strayer's. Artisan was allowing me to use their resources..think I was starting to lose myself in the books though.. Until Chimmy and Jinx sorta rescued me from myself.."

My eyes widen in amazement."Really? Ya got to see the Strayer's house?! What the hell was it like? I always pictured this huge ass castle in the woods for some reason..."

"more like being in an undergroud village... It was quite interesting. I was surprised I was allowed to be there honestly."

"huh... well that's pretty big, I'm one of Arty's best friends and I haven't even seen it yet."

"maybe you should just ask him.. He'd probably show you.." She grinned "I seriously thought it would be impossible to break into, but I guess I was wrong."

"Chimmy always said a place is only as hard to get inta as it's best guard..."

" I could definitely agree with that, but top notch aurors take more than one thief for sure."

"Yeah, Yep, and I guess it took 2 to get inta their place. So... did ya get the grand tour or what?"

she grinned "i suppose I could of, but I kinda stuck to my research."

"Ya learn anything?"

She sighed "I have no idea...but i've been feeling better than ever since I got back."

"Well hey, that's good right?" I smile at her happily, I'm glad she's not feeling bad anymore, and Chimmy will probably be happy.

"it is.. I thought I was close to dying..I just wish I knew why I felt better. Its quite baffling to be honest."

"Ah how cares? The important part is yar better!"

She smiled brightly "you're right! I should be celebrating instead of questioning why I feel better."

"Bingo!" Hey, wanna find Chimmy and see what he's got in his stash?"
