Vatican City

It took a moment for the words to register into Cynder's racing mind.
She straightened but kept her brown eyes down, almost afraid to look at the strange man.

But she nodded slightly, forcing a smile, forcing herself to look up. She did so carefully and warily, as if unsure about her own actions.

"Is it..?"

She blinked at Matthew, and a true, honest smile crossed her face.
So she was the first... A well of joy and appreciation opened in her heart, and she just couldn't explain it.

Matthew: "Yes, she's a very special girl to me..."

Father Castulus: "Can this be true? My son has found his angel?" -I smile at her.-

Cynder's face went red and she looked between the two of them before giving a small nod.
She broke a small smile and spoke carefully, though with a hint of sarcasm and teasing.

"I hope not everyone here calls me an angel, because I'm still trying to convince Matthew I'm not..."

-I chuckle in good humor.- "Fear not, not everyone will call you that. It's just when he was younger he frequently asked me when he would meet his angel."

The girl smiled and looked at Matthew with raised brows, actually relaxing for the first time in this place.

"Never got told that, Matthew.."

-I chuckle nervously.- "Well... I was his angel, I wondered when I would meet mine..."

A small chuckle, the girl moved now, smiling with friendly gentleness and good-natured kindness to Matthew.

"I understand."

A pause, she held out a hand to Father Castulus.

"I'm sorry for being a bit nervous and quiet before. I wasn't sure what to expect. It's really a pleasure to meet you, sir."

-I reach out and shake her hand politely, my grip was solid enough to know that it existed, but was still hardly felt.-

"Such formality isn't needed, you can call me Blake if you like..."

Blake..?
Already, she felt the sudden acceptance that Matthew was sure she would get. She felt... at home.

"Well, thank you. If you want to know, I asked Matthew if we could come here. I wanted... to ask what it takes to follow your God. I would like to... I really would."

-I smile at her and Matthew proudly.- "You have brought one of his children to our sanctuary Matthew, you have done our Lord proud."

"By merely wishing to follow him, you have been accepted."

Cynder blinked quietly, her expression going flat, curious and concerned.

"There's... nothing else I need to do..? That's it..?"

She gazed curiously at Matthew, then at Father Castulus again, lettin gout a relieved chuckle.
"... thank you.. both of you.."

"If you'd like, you can be baptized here if you haven't been already."

Cynder swallowed, nodding slightly.

"May I..? If it's not much trouble..?"

-I smile at her.- "Very well... you're welcome to stay here with Matthew until we have everything ready!"

A small nod, the girl smiled.

"Yes, Thank you..."

And now she looked at Matthew, a look of pure joy in her eyes.
Looking purely excited, almost slightly afraid, but excited.

"Thank you for bringing me here, Matt... really.."

"You're welcome my angel! I hope I'm the one who gets to do it!" -I smile at her warmly.-

Cynder smiled, exhaling slowly.

"I would like that, yeah.."

"here, Why don't I show you where I live?"

Cynder's eyes light up, and she grinned.

"If that's okay.. I would love to~"

"Sure!" -I start walking through the halls and come upon on door with an old lock. I dig into my bag and pull out a large ancient looking key and unlock the door.-

Cynder couldn't help but smile the whole time, as she looked around.

"It's magnificent here... I love all of it so much.."

"I love it here too..." -I open the door and the room inside was quite large and well kept. It wasn't particularly majestic, favoring more simplistic look but it was accommodating.-

Cynder didn't seem to care that it wasn't like the rest of the Vatican.
She loved it for what it was.

"I love it, Matthew. This is where you grew up, then... magnificent.."
