The woman asked lazily.

"What will I get in return for instructing you in the ways of the shadow magic that your dark lord has not?"

"What do you ask for?"

A pause, the woman turned her eyes to the sweltering sun, showing no signs of squinting at it's unfathomable heat.

"... Something valuable to you, Crouch. Something I might not get elsewhere- I do rather like to collect... rarities.."

-I scoff- 'Go ahead... I have nothing of value."

"Oh really..?"

A pause, the woman smirked and stepped forward again.

"I rather like hair.... tell you what, bring me a strand of your daughter's hair, and that will do. Just so you don't... try and turn against me, so to say.."

"And what would you do with my girl's hair?"

A small smile, the woman reached into the black shadow-like substance around her feet in the water.

When she straightened, there was a small doll in her hand, with a few small holes in the top of the bare head.

"... What do you think, my boy?"

-I glare furiously at her.- "You would DARE to harm a hair on my child's head?!"

A small smile, The woman dropped her hand with the voodoo puppet, shaking her head.

"No, I have no intentions on harming her unless you commit treachery against me."

"And the power you have over me... is it... considerable?"

-An idea comes to mind. An awful idea...-

"Very well... let me just go back at get it."

The woman's eyes darkened slightly.

"If you lie to me, Crouch, I will know about it. And this time the tattoo my eye gives you will be burning... and real.."

-Crazy Grin- "Oh... Persephone, do you believe me to be deceptive?"

A small smile, the woman dropped the doll back into the water, where it seemed to dissolve into the black substance.

"Oh Bartemius, brother of the shadow arts- Death Eaters live off of lies. I have no reason to believe you are different."

A pause, she exhaled, her mile gently growing.

"Do not worry about the hair, I wished to see how dedicated you were to learning.... when do you plan on starting, mm?"

"NOW! I must have my revenge quickly. He made it personal."

"Oh, so it is because of butthurt?"

Persephone laughed, relaxing, pocketing her wand.

"Come, walk with me, tell me about it."

-I walk alongside her.- "The details concern you little."

"Oh, but indeed they do concern me. It's a bit easier to train to one's weaknesses when I know what happened.."

"They forced... someone close to me to turn against me. Someone I vowed not to lose again."

"And who might that be? Spouse? Child? .... Sibling..?"

"Family." -I leave it simply.-

"Understood. And is there anything specific you wish to learn from me, boy..?"

The woman turned her face toward him, a haunting otherworldly look about her.
Persephone smiled carefully, her quiet eyes gentle and calculating.

"Anything! I want all the advantage I need to make them all pay..."

"Well then, what time do we have to waste?"


A smirk crossed over her face, eyes darkening as she turned and began to jog backwards through the water, eyes gleaming.

"Show me what you've got, Bartemius..."

"Cease calling me that or I shall make you the test dummy!"

-I yell in rage and then I cast a large bat shaped fiendfyre and using more of my magic, I jump on top of it and then I use my wandhand spell to turn my entire body into redwood and I cast several killing curses at SEEMINGLY random intervals and directions. After I land on my feet, all the birds in the surrounding area fall dead, all of them hit by my curses.-

"Well? Now you know why I am the Dark Lord's greatest apprentice!"
