Persephone kept a calm face, looking as if confused at the sudden reaction.

"Why would I...? Come on, think boy. I might not follow the Dark Lord, but it doesn't mean I'm with the Ministry. They're a corrupt bunch... and I don't want these children to fall into that grasp."

A small, sweet smile, the woman gave a soft look.

"Do not worry, they went through no pain to get in this way."

"It's still wrong! They have families! Real parents! We'll always want our children!!!" -I yell to her, not even realizing my fatal mistake.-

Persephone perked up suddenly, expression growing interested.

"You'll always want.."

The expression turned dark.
The woman smirked darkly.

Well... if all else failed... this was a good new plan.

"Expecting children of your own, friend..?"

-I snarl at her.- "Don't you dare..." -I point my wand at her with resolve I have never shown anything before.-

Persephone laughed and shook her head.

"Silly boy, I can't take your children, if you and your girl are expecting. I can't take unborn children..."

A chuckle, she again stroked Nina's hair. The girl was still clutching to her dress.


A cool voice sounded from behind Artemis now.
Riddled with boredom and frustration.

"Wand down, Artemis. She's one of the most notorious Dark Arts users- she could strike you down in a moment's notice."

Descole mused quietly.
Persephone perked up and raised a brow.

"Oh, you've got friends," She spoke with a giggle, shaking her head, "And with one of my boys- looks like you almost brought him to reality as well. With that shining sword, too... oh, but you didn't do a good enough job- it'll take a deeper slash than that.."

"Is that so?"

-I say jumping down from the tree directly above Persephone with my own rapier drawn.-

-I look at the child and quickly and fluidly give thrust into Nina's arm nonfatally. All my time practicing for my fight with Descole paid off, as I had much experience with nonfatal sword wounds. But it still made harming the innocent slightly difficult.-

Persephone gave an upset outburst, pulling Nina back with her as the girl gave a cry of pain and fear.

Blood started to seep from the wound, her eyes starting to go normal, the glossiness fading, the innocence of the child shining through her eyes.

Descole smirked.

"Well going, Strayer."

He moved swiftly as well, in shadow of Crest, the boy in his way getting slashed from his shoulder to mid-back, waking him up as well, though making him stumble forward in a shout of pain.

"Well... good job. But the others are hidden- you'll not find them."

-Wordlessly I walk over to Persephone and hold my rapier against her throat.- "Talk. Now." -Once more the cold river of words escaped my mouth like it barely escaped the closing of a dam..-

Persephone remained quite calm, pensive as the little Nina ran forward, away from the two, and moved to clutch to Artemis' leg, shaking and sobbing.

"Talk.... all right. Last night we had a delicious dinner of fried fish... it was very well seasoned and delicious..."

A small smirk, smug and gentle.
"Happy, yes?"

Artemis: "You'll be alright... I promise..." -I say gently as I begin healing their wounds.-

Crest: -I move the blade to my right, cutting into her neck ever so slightly.- "The location of the others. NOW!"

The woman gave a small scowl, eyes narrowed.

"All right, all right. The other children are all hiding in a grove of trees, a bit north from here and a bit east from there..."

She sniggered smoothly, the tattoo under her left eye looking as if turning to paint, dripping down her cheek and falling onto the blade, moving as if toward Crest, slinking forward at a smooth pace.

"They're in the tree grove, marked with an old swamp boat wreck, just north of here... silly boys, it's not that hard..."

-I look down at the paint and try to wipe it off my blade.- "Lead on."

The paint did not leave.
It smeared, then curled back into itself, again moving forward, toward Crest's hand.

Persephone gave a stiff, cold expression.

"I don't think you want to go there right now. The young children are in the threes, the older more capable ones ready to fire curses at anyone who comes close to the hideout. They won't attack me.. but I can't promise for you."

Artisan: "What's that on Crest's sword?"

Crest: "It doesn't matter. What does is her leading us there!"

Descole remained silent, the boy and girl clinging to eachother now.
Brother and sister, he assumed.

The black glob on Crest's sword seemed to vanish- the paint blending with the sword, but crawling onto Crest's hand.
A spy. And any contact with Artemis and it would rub off.
A new plan.


Persephone rolled her eyes.
"Fine, you really aren't easy to trick. This way."

She exhaled and smirked, taking a step back and walking the direction of the children.

OOC Tough luck you planted the spy on the LEAST affectionate and touchy of the brothers lol

-All the Strayers follow after her, Artemis took the hands of the siblings.-

Artemis: "Stay close... we'll get you and your friends home..."

Descole was the last to follow.

The brother and Sister trembled together, looking terrified.
Nina continued to cry for her mummy. The boy remained silent and stern.

Persephone waded through the water quietly and uncaring of the murkeyness and muddy waters.


After a bit of walking, she gave a sharp whistle, that was met with excited shouts as children ran from the trees to greet Persephone. They stopped as soon as they were all in sight, expressions dropping.

"Well, children... Ministry came to save you.."

-I look over at Descole and nod, knowing what they both had to do."

Artemis: "Now you two... I need you to shut your eyes tight, and cover your ears."

The brother and sister both shut their eyes. The boy plugged his ears with his fingers, and the girl pressed down on her ears with the palms of her hands.
They both were grimacing with fear.

Descole waded around the Group. Persephone watched coldly, uncaringly, as if unfazed by loosing all these children from her cause. Anyway, she had no plans on getting arrested. And she could always... start... anew...

Jean now stood by Crest, and nodded back to him.
"Don't move, children.. This will only hurt... quite a bit.."
The man gave a chuckle and walked forward, slashing at one of the older boys, blood splattering into the water.

"Don't hold back, Strayer," The man spoke as he sliced at another child, the whole group splitting in fearful screams and cries. "Yo uhold back and it could make it worse.."

-My face tinges momentarily with disgust, but my resolve is unshaken as I begin my own strikes, once more making a critical point to strike with pinpoint accuracy where the wounds would be easily healed and didn't hurt so much.-

Descole smirked as he saw Crest start.
Though Crest was accurate with deliberate carefulness, Descole attacked wherever he could possibly made a hit.
Weather it was a slash across the arms or legs, or a large gash down their back, he made sure he made a hit painful enough to snap them out of their daze.

Persephone lifted her chin and turned to Artemis.

"Well done finding me... I thought you were almost too thick... well, perhaps next time.."
A chuckle, she lifted her fallen hood, putting it over her head, smiling.
"You're quite lucky I'm not in the mood to... fight.."
