Her tone lose all warmth and kindness, speaking detachedly as she shoved it back into her pocket. 'Oh. I'm a liability. I see how it is.'

Meredia immediately turned her back to him, feeling tears flood the rims of her white eyes, starting to place on foot in front of the other.

She refused to tilt her head upwards, scrunching her eyes shut to prevent the tears. Meredia didn't need them anyway.
