Shrieking Shack

The Shrieking Shack is an abandoned house in Hogsmeade. For many years, villagers thought it was haunted because they often heard screams coming from inside, and Albus Dumbledore encouraged the rumour, as he was the one who commissioned it, due to Remus Lupin's Lycanthropy.

According to Nearly Headless Nick, not even the Hogwarts ghosts will enter it. The Shrieking Shack's entrance from the Hogwarts Grounds is the base of the Whomping Willow. The trick is to poke the knot in the trunk, which paralyses the tree. The secret passageway can be seen on the Marauder's Map.

Of course I am! - she makes sure she knows where her wand is and opens the door, spluttering as dust whooshes up her nose - Ugh. You'd think the ghosts would at least clean. - she laughs and steps inside -

-He laughs and gets his wand from his robes- Lumos! -Inside it was dark and he coughed because of the dust- Eww, its horrible in here.

- she nods and also takes out her wand - Lumos. - looking around she takes in the torn up furniture and peeling wall paper - It is.. - she jumps as the door slams shut behind them - Let's go! - her voice squeaks slightly but she shakes off her nerves and sets off to explore -

-He grins as Goblet shrieks- Are you sure? -He moves forwards, and starts to walk up some creaky wooden stairs.-

- she lets out a long breath - Yes, yes, I'm sure.. - she follows him to the stairs, swinging her wand round in an attempt to keep the whole shack lit -

-He stepped forwards onto the next step, which wasnt very strong. His leg fell through, but he quickly got up, pulling his leg out. he was slightly shaken but he picked up his wand and carried on-

I..I'm fine. -They finally get to the top of the stairs, where a dark corridor is waiting in front of them.- Wonder whats down here.

- she peers round Cosmo and down the corridor - I dunno.. - she steps round him and sets off into the darkness with her wand raised high -

- she looks back at Cosmo and grins, darting away down the dark corridor and hides in a room, hoping to jump out at him - Nox - she murmurs, so he wouldn't see the light. Her fear had dissipated by now. Click. Click. Click. Goblet turned slowly - Hello? - she whispers. What was that? -

-He laughed- Oi, come back here! -He used his wand to try and find Goblet again. He opens several doors, and looks inside. He gets to the end of the corridor and knocks on it.- Goblet? You can come out now.

- she lights her wand again, spinning round to the source of the noise - Oh my.. - it registers that she is face to face with an Acromantula that basically fills the whole room and she opens her mouth and screams - COSMO?! - she backs up against a set of dusty drawers -

GOBLET! -He tried to open the doorbut it was jammed. He tried to get it free, but it wouldnt budge. He started kicking at the door then it finally came free. he ran into the room and noticed Goblet by the drawers.- Goblet? -He looks around and sees the Acromantular standing in the middle of the room- GOBLET, GET OUT OF HERE NOW. -He points his wand at the spider-

- she makes a strangled squeaking noise and tries to pass the acromantula but it's too big. She moves to the opposite side of the room, planning to curse the thing from the other side, confusing it - STUPEFY - the spell bounces off the spider's leg and narrowly misses Gobs and she tries to aim again, shaking -

-This is probably the only time im going to say this spell.- AVADA KEDAVRA! -The spider scuttled slightly, missing the curse by inches- DAMMIT! -He tried again- STUPEFY! -The spider got hit, but it didnt have much effect-

- she sends another stupefy at the spider's underside but misses, looking at Cosmo for a brief moment, shocked, before falling unconscious. The stupefy had rebounded -

-He runs over to Goblet.- Goblet? Can you hear me. -He knelt down beside her, keeping an eye on the spider which was coming towards them. Ok, I might have to say it one more time.- AVADA KEDAVRA! -This time the spell hits the spider just as it was about to hit them. The spider rolled across the floor motionless. He quickly picked up Goblet and held her in his arms, running out of the room, down the stairs and out the Shack, back to Hogwarts-
