The Islands

Terrane was careful upon replying.
"We are...here to destroy it."

A solid moment of tense silence passed. Raiyu's expression unreadable. And then it melted into one of relief
"Oh thank the gods! There is something terribly wrong with the barrier but I've been hexed so as to not say. But I can lend you my strength in taking it down."

He turned to Luxia
"Magichite, it's what keeps Lemures afloat. It's one of the strongest know magical gemstones. Forged supposedly from mist itself."

His mind snapped back into realization, "Ahh yes that's right! Pardon my forgetfulness." He excused himself.

"You'll help us? Excellent!" He looked greatly peased by this turn of events. "Oh I'm Luxia by the way..." He extended his hand to the young.. looking... warrior.

Raiyu laughed as he took his hand
"I know! Other djins spoke your name here and there..."

Luxia chuckled nervously as he adjusted his debonair attire, "Oh I hope not that much..." 

Was he started to prespirate? Did the threat about people learning of his former self really terrify him so deeply?

Raiyu shook out his wings, shaking free leaves and down feathers.
He was also quick to pick up on Luxia's demeanor
"Does that frighten you? Your just like that other djin then..."

"Who's that exactly?" He swallowed and calmed himself, pleased with his straightened attire.

"His name escapes me for the moment!" Raiyu admitted with a laugh. "But he says he is around 1600 years old. Apparently not very old for a djin, and he gets quite flustered when one can tell his true nature."

"1600 cycles?" He laughed heartedly, "I wish I had that few years under my belt."

"Yes, though your disguise could fool some." Raiyu commented, then his eyes brightened
"Jun! That was his name! He explained his predicament too me not too long ago. I would help him were I not hexed myself."

Terrane walked behind them, so perturbed by Raiyu's demeanor. It was so...energetic and lively.

"Jun... Jun..." the djinn looked up to the sky, testing the name out several times like a librarian looking for a single book among massive shelves. 

"Not sure if I've met him yet..."

"Perhaps I should just show you to him. Terrane you know the way to the magichite crystal?"

Terrane nodded and took off to find it.

"By all means, please do!"

Raiyu escorted Luxia to a series of rather large and craggy rock formations that jutted from the ground. Perched inter highest one was a young looking boy who whistled a rather mysterious tune.
"Approach him as you wish"

Luxia straightened his attire and slowly approached the young man. But Luxia was not such a fool to judge on appearance, "Good day to you..."

Jun looked upon Luxia with a bored expression. But after a few minutes his eyes widened
"Holy Mother of Magic! Raiyu, you found another guy like me?!" Jun jumped down, trying his best to be calm as he carefully approached Luxia.
"I haven't...seen someone like me in over 4 thousand years...I thought they were all gone."
